Do you still do your rankings? Who are the Top 4? Yes. I had Washington, Michigan, Texas, and Alabama for Top 4. Laughing, I guess BH lost interest.

Why say that , Hero ? Several of the Massey composite systems had that combo. I say, Bama,FSU,Texas,Mich, UGA, Wash, Ohio St. and Oregon all could claim to be , so called, 'top 4'

If you are only concerned with wins and losses than Liberty belongs in your top group.

If you are only concerned with wins and losses than Liberty belongs in your top group. Wins and losses in a P5 conference. Although, a G5 undefeated team could still get the Bevo Stamp of Approval if they beat a couple of top P5 teams in OOC play.

It’s just not easy to do. Most scheduling is done years in advance. I would guess many top programs would have considered hosting them for an OOC game if asked a few years ago. Houston managed to do it a few years ago. They just couldn’t win the tough games they scheduled.

Right, the top programs choose to schedule the Libertys for automatic rent a wins. Very difficult for the no names to contact the brand names and say 'we've decided to schedule you'

I'm not sure who or what you're laughing at, Hero, but every single one of those teams I listed are in a 'top 4' among MULTIPLE ratings systems found in the Massey composite.

The problem is the polls. As much as people complained about the BCS, it was probably the best poll in hindsight, balancing multiple computer rankings with a human element
Going to 4 over 2 was the right move back in 2014. Going from BCS rankings to a 13 team committee (with Condoleeza Rice lol) was horribly in the wrong direction.
I'm not sure why we can't start moving AWAY from "rankings"
Does the NFL use rankings for their postseason at all?

NFL ?? Again ?? Really??
Break the FBS down to 32 teams and you can have the best playoff format ever invented.
The NFL is the most absurd analogy ever.
