So College Gameday is going to Dublin Ireland for the first game in 2024, which is FSU vs. Georgia Tech
Are they so tone deaf that they think this is a good idea??
FSU fans actively hate ESPN now, Herbstreit included. I can only imagine the signs...I expect a lot of "F Us" directed at Kirk Herbstreit.
Just a really bad idea IMO

Evil , I really can't completely blame ESPN and its puppet, so called, CFP selection committee for the FSU screw job. Those committee voters are probably decent and honorable people in their every day lives just put in a difficult situation. And remember what ESPN is truly about......the ENTERTAINMENT and SPORTS PROGRAMMING network. The primary job of all those talking heads is to sell and promote profitable sports entertainment......just realistic good business and that's how capitalism works. Michigan vs Alabama will be a juicy profit offering......more so than Michigan vs Florida State. like everything else in our lives - Follow The Money
The 120 year old moronic 'system' of determining major college football champions is to blame, imo, not individuals that have been caught up in the mythical process and just trying to do their jobs. And Remember too, that FBS football championships are the only ones on planet Earth that are administered and awarded by something outside of the governing body of the sport....in other words 'renegade' in nature.

You're exceptionally wise today Old Hen. Waxing philosophic. If only the governing body had found a way to lead this process, like... 100 years ago? It's an impossible system as it is..

Thanks Bevo....although I don't know what "waxing philosophic" means LOL you can alway ask CHatGPT, free-AI: "What does waxing philosophic" mean? “Waxing philosophical” is a phrase used to describe thinking about things in a very philosophical and complex manner. When someone is “waxing philosophical”, that means that they’re thinking about things in a deep manner. They might be questioning life, or thinking about things we take for granted. According to Wiktionary, “wax philosophical” means “to speak in a philosophical way”. Alternatively, it means “to make profound statements” 1. We often use “wax philosophical” to describe when people start talking about seemingly deep things. These thoughts usually come out of nowhere, and will strike you as unusual. Here are some example sentences that will showcase how you can use this phrase:
If you talk about how we’re all just sacks of meat in a spinning rock, you’re waxing philosophical.
I was waxing philosophical thinking about our own personal sense of self in the universe.
If she comes talking about how she’s figured out the meaning of life, she’s waxing philosophical.
He’s waxing philosophical about the way the internet has changed our modes of speech.
All of these phrases highlight how, when someone is waxing philosophical, they’re thinking deep thoughtsNow, I'm not sure I know what it means. lol

Had the NCAA offered a legitimate playoff, even 50 or so years ago and successfully sold it to the media to challenge the PSEGs, who knows, we likely wouldn't have all this mythical national championship history. That's when the other divisions went from PSEGs to playoffs
