Should FSU have been in the playoff? Absolutely
Would that have changed the result? I don't think so...Michigan had the team to beat anyone I think. I could see Michigan beating FSU with Tate Rodemaker in a 13-3 ugly defensive battle. (But then again, you never know till you play the games.)
I also don't buy Georgia as one of the top teams. They played an extremely easy schedule, struggled with Auburn, Mizzou, and Georgia Tech. And when they had their chance to punch their ticket, they lost to Alabama.
Whatever road you take this year, I think all roads eventually lead to a Michigan National Title. They've been building for 3 years, and finally overcame the odds.
1st Championship since 1997. It's a maize and blue world this year.

I was sure hoping for Texas to play Michigan. I always thought we matched up better against them than any of the other teams in the mini-playoff

Also … we have $$ at Texas. Can someone down there find out what it cost to buy a ref ? Give us two of those “holding” calls on long Penix passes, and I’m sure we beat the Huskies too. 🙄

I know people had some fatigue of the “same teams”.
But if you look at it, you have had Clemson , Georgia, Michigan and LSU that spent years between titles.
TCU was in the game last year. Washington was in it last night.
Over the last 10 years, 6 teams have won.
