And Kansas should NEVER need a bogus foul call to help them beat Samford. These teams have every advantage, constantly on TV, rabid fans, storied histories - they’re basketball royalty. For Calipari to say the freshman didn’t show up (in so many words) is his fault. He’s the one who recruits all the one and domes and then to use that as an excuse? Maybe it’s time for a new leader at Kentucky.

It’s absolutely time for. New coach at Kentucky.
There defense has been non-existent all year. They have THREE 7 footers for goodness sake, and they can’t guard the rim.
They have three of the best 3-point shooters in the country, and they stop shooting 3’s. They can’t , or won’t rebound for shit? Whose fault is that ? Coaching.
That said, Oakland shot lights out last night. One guy was surround by FOUR UK players when he drained it from the corner. I hope they go far.

Maybe Kentucky’s 3 seed was one of the “highly competitive opportunities” that “we are giving away” of which the SEC commissioner was referencing.

Is it entirely too early to suspect that the SEC is a bit of a basketball 'fraud' as far as hyping it as a national power ?

SEC commish’s words didn’t age well.
“We need to look at auto bids for the smaller conferences, the games aren’t competitive”. , or something close to that…
As of now, the SEC is 0-5.

Maybe he’s afraid to play them? He should be.

I was looking forward to watching Auburn make a run but clearly the SEC was overhyped. They have a long way to go if they want to be the dominant force in basketball like they are in football.

The conference should show good strength in the NCAA Baseball and Softball championships...my favorite events. Btw, I thought Bruce Pearl was really gracious and classy in his post game comments.
I love it when a real 'student-athlete', lesser talented team , but with grit, discipline and intelligence occasionally overcomes a hired team of raw high level athleticism. Go Yale !

Was impressed with how composed the Yale coach was - I would have been pulling my hair out but he didn’t have any hair. Great game to watch unless you’re Charles Barkley - he was classic in the studio.

Barkley nailed it at halftime when he said 'you have to put those type teams away early in the 2nd half...by 12 or 14 points. If you let those intelligent/disciplined type teams hang around late you're in trouble'.
