Starr seems to have been kicked upstairs. Will serve as Chancellor and remain in the Law School. Most reports I've seen are saying this is a demotion for Starr. I'm not sure what a Chancellor actually does? Sounds like a good position! :-)
He'll be TEACHING at the Law School. I KNOW that's a demotion. He'll actually have to do some work now.
If you ever get a chance, read a little about Starr's background. He's a brilliant guy who was on track to be on the Supreme Court. That little gig as Special Prosecutor really hurt his career. Shame.
Now this? I think Starr has a black cloud following him around.

That too, bevo. Our suggested messages tie together....' don't bring in dumb trash and don't cover up dumb trashy behavior '.........and also apply some reasonable 'standards' to the academic side of , so called, "college football" as well as the character and citizenship side. Reform is needed.
That said, Baylor brought in some guys who'd already had their "Chance"... and blew, big time. Not sure I'd be willing to go where they did.

Yes, sadly he let the Democrats talk him into staying in that job when he thought he should have bailed. His good deed did not go unpunished.

Where I work, we don't have a Chancellor. When our previous president retired, he was appointed Chancellor but sadly, was diagnosed with cancer and passed away. Truly one of the most impressive individuals I've ever met. Anyway, in the role of Chancellor he worked with high level donors to keep them involved with the university - it was basically a fundraising position. Not sure if Starr is going to appeal much to the high level donors given what happened at Baylir so his responsibilities may be different.

On OKC radio two weeks ago Anthony Fogel predicted the firing of Briles. "Guys, it's not just play for pay there in Baylor, there's some heavy criminal stuff going on". I can't say till I KNOW, but it's coming.

Not JUST 'pay for play'?? Yikes.
The B12 might have to add a team, just to stay at 10!

The mess at Baylor will probably set the football program back to where it was pre-Briles, as 4-star commits are bailing right and left. Baylor took a step in the right direction today by hiring Jim Grobe, a highly respected coach of unquestioned integrity. This situation is a five alarm disaster.

Worse than that.

I am always suspicious when programs like Baylor or the old SMU seem to rise from NOTHING to being a powerhouse in no time at all.
I guess, it's possible... in theory to do that. But, it's more likely they are cheating.

Ole Miss I told Pooh Bear two years ago to start the investigation watch at Ole Miss. No five star recruits in 20 years and in one year they out recruit everyone. Every recruit wanted to play for Hugh Freeze? WHY

That kind of progress is believable. Suddenness raises eyebrows.
