Who remembers ridiculing me when I suggested repealing Obamacare immediately and replacing it later? Modesty precludes me from gloating or exclaiming that I am right again. Did I mention that modesty precludes me from gloating or exclaiming that I am right again? I vote for it.

It is going to happen. It will be a glorious day. Give Trump credit where credit is due -- some Republicans were getting weak knees.

Tillerson's statement followed a heated initial session during which the ExxonMobil CEO refused to specifically call Putin a "war criminal."
"I find it discouraging your ability to cite that, which I think is globally accepted," Rubio said.I watched this exchange on TV and was a bit disappointed in Rubio (who I am a big fan of) for pushing this. It ultimately may or may not make a difference in the end, but I don't see how it would HELP in any way our ability to deal with Putin / Russia if the incoming administration starts name calling before they even get started.

I'll defer to John Bolton as to whether Putin is a war criminal. However, there can be little doubt that he personally ordered the assassinations and imprisonment of numerous political adversaries and journalists.
The issue at hand is whether it is wise for Trump to demonize or denigrate others unnecessarily, as he did repeatedly with Rubio, Carly Fiorina and many others (most recently Meryl Streep).
Now, the fate of Rex Tillerson's nomination rests in Marco Rubio's hands.

I feel the same way. We have to deal with the world, like it or not. What good can come from Rubio's remarks?

A lot of good. Thank goodness someone is speaking up. We know that Obama hasn't, and Trump won't. At least for now.
Putin is not and never will be our friend. He is a profoundly evil dictator who is intent on undermining America's strategic interests around the world.
Unfortunately, it seems like he has a willing dupe in Trump, especially when it comes to the future of NATO.
By the same measure, U.S. intelligence agencies are not our enemy. They are America's critical first line of defense against enemies and adversaries who are capable and determined to damage our military capabilities, finances and commerce, our effectiveness as the dominant world power in leading the never-ending battle for freedom and democracy.
Donald Trump has it bass ackwards. His naïveté is Putin's #1 ally.

Today Bod Woodward separates his journalistic integrity from the corrupt bastardization of CNN and Carl Bernstein. Additionally, President Donald Trump thanks Woodward for his intellectual honesty.
BACKGROUND: Four political operatives at CNN (Jake Tapper, Jim Scuitto, Evan Perez and Carl Bernstein), colluded with two highly politicized top level Obama administration intelligence officials, ODNI John Brennan and CIA Director John Brennan, under the auspices of leaks from “anonymous senior intelligence officials” – on the construct of Russian narrative to undermine the incoming presidency of Donald Trump.
Not a surprise since Obama has also politicized the Dept. of Justice, including the FBI, DHS, and the IRS! No clamor from the mainstream media because it/they are complicit….. DJT, that one helluva big swamp you’re about to drain…..

People take Trump too literally, even here - Trump made clear he wants good relations with Russia - then everyone assumes Trump will end NATO & pull out of Europe...
the "NATO is obsolete" comment is because he's angry that rich European countries depend on the US for defence and don't spend 2% of their GDP on defence....his end goal is saving tax dollars by not paying for rich European countries' defence.

Can Trump be believed when he says that everyone will have health insurance? The real issue is not health insurance. The real issue is medical care. On medical care, the economics are very clear: those who consume the most are either unable to pay or unwilling to pay, while those who consume less either cannot pay or do not want to pay for those who consume more.
To me, gov.co cannot resolve this...Maybe a system which combines private enterprise (including free-market insurance policies) and private charity has any potential?
