I don't quite get how these numbers work. Alabama's enrollment cited in the article is 29,440. For a 92% growth rate, Alabama's enrollment would have been a mere 15,330 in 2000. Could that be??
In comparison, Florida has several public universities with significantly higher enrollment: Central Florida (61,000), Florida International (54,000), University of Florida (52,500), South Florida (49,000), FSU (42,000).

I had no idea that Alabama had been such a small school until recent years. I have real difficulty on my mini-Ipad..which, is what I use for internet stuff about 80% of the time now.
