Sorry for the delay in the results - I was at a golf outing yesterday and didn't have an opportunity to visit the board. A couple things before the results...
1. Ohio State's offense is totally lost and in my opinion, they should not be the #1 team in the polls. I think in an effort to appease all the play makers on the team, everyone is pressing and the consequently they have no rhythm offensively. In addition, Cardale Jones didn't have to worry about being replaced last year because they didn't have anyone on the bench who could replace him. As a result, he played fairly carefree and the results were pretty amazing. Now with Barrett back he's pressing. And when Barrett plays he's pressing too. I suspect Meyer will name a true starting QB heading into Big Ten play and that QB will play the entire game. They need to establish some continuity to get the offense working like it should be.
2. I spent the weekend down at Norris Lake in Tennessee. One of my buddies who goes with us, makes his own moonshine. He has fruit floating in the mason jar to add flavor. I have to admit, the fruit tasted pretty good so I ate a bunch of it....BIG MISTAKE. The fruit had obviously absorbed a great deal of the moonshine and it made me violently ill. Moral - if you ever have an opportunity to eat hooch infused fruit - DON'T!
Now the results...
Not a very good showing - you can tell we're all out of practice. Last year's champ, Bevo, is in midseason form but most of us were mediocre to bad. Here are the standings, I'll post this weeks games tomorrow....
Bevo (4-1)
Herd Fan (3-2)
AJ Buckeye (3-2)
Blue Hen (2-3)
Hero (2-3)
CPA (1-4)
Evil Vodka (1-4)
Doc (1-4)
