Not a lot of high profile games this weekend but a few teams made some statements and few high profile teams laid an egg. Clemson seems to have waken up as they put a thumping on GT. They are starting to look like the team that we saw last year on the way to the CFP championship game. On the other side, ND just became irrelevant for the remainder of the season and NBC will take a huge hit because of it. Although the PAC 12 had some tough matchups, their leading contenders Standford and Washington held serve as they appear to be the best best to make it to the CFP. The BIG12 who appears to be on life support at the moment went 5 - 0 out of conference and the 2 undefeated teams stayed that way with WVU and Baylor squeaking out wins.
Thumbs Up:
Wisconsin - went into sparty and put on a show. Clearly with wins of LSU and now Sparty they are without a doubt the team to beat in the West. The schedule gods did them no favors as they have crossover games against tOSU, UM, and MSU. Not sure how that happens.
Tennessee - did not let mistake after mistake after mistake get them down and turned it around big time against Florida. They are finally starting the look like the team everyone expects them to be. Like Wisconsin the crossovers are not favorable with the annual Elephant matchup and TAM who is coming up fast on the radar.
Clemson - finally starting to look like the team we thought they would be. DCouldn't come a moment soon with Louisville up next.
TAM - Nice win but still not sure if they will have a huge impact on the SEC west
UM - Although PSU is clearly not back yet, it is looking more and more like UM is.
Thumbs Down:
LSU - An inexcusable way to lose a game. But even worse firing a coach that goes 2 - 2 in 2 tough losses. If Miles was that far in the doghouse before the season ended then he should have by canned long ago. I have never seen a program where they had a coach in the national championship hunt in November and they are ready to hang him in December. Good Luck to the next coach to takeover that program. They just need to know that job security is a game by game decision down there.
ND - Last week Kelly has the accidental tweet about canning his DC. This week he actually does it. Losing to Duke was bad enough but putting it all on the DC just shows a lack of leadership. Kelly hired the guy and then he throws him under the bus. Kelly showed some a lack of class at UC during the transition to ND and now we are starting to see it again.

Houston needs Lo
