I don't see ANYONE in the B1G who can threaten Ohio State other than Michigan.
Do you guys see what's coming though? When was the last time we all REALLY REALLY cared about the OSU-MICHIGAN game? And, the game had real consequence to it. I always loved watching the Buckeyes and Wolverines battling for a bowl spot. This game is going to be for a CFP spot. Never better. Can't wait.
I know you Ohio boys enjoyed being the only big kid on the block. But, I think you have to admit, it's GOOD for the conference when Michigan is also good. Look at the respect the entire conference is getting now. cmon man, I thought you knew college football better than that... I'd bet heavy money Ohio State drops a game before Michigan. The remaining schedule since their bye is: Rutgers W Indiana W @ Wisconsin @ Penn State Northwestern Nebraska @ Maryland @ Michigan State Michigan Ohio State gets no breaks...no South Alabamas...no more byes or cupcakes. It is 9 straight games...4 road games, 3 of which are completely hostile territory. They have one of the hardest remaining schedules in the country. If they make it through that, they deserve the #1 seed in the playoffs Alabama still has a bye, and easy wins with Miss State and Chattanooga Clemson? easy layup schedule...one tough game against FSU which really won't hurt them if they lose, and an ACC Championship Even Michigan has an easier schedule...a bye this week, and a home layup against Illinois before a 5 game stretch we'll see how Ohio State does this weekend against a very physical Wisconsin team, know that the Buckeyes have to turn around and do it all again next weekend at Penn State A couple things - yes, it is more fun hating Michigan when they are good than when they suck. This morning two cars drove by me with 'M-Go Blue' bumper stickers and vanity plates and I subtly flipped off the drivers. I abhor Michigan, Harbaugh, Brady, Howard and those nauseating colors with a passion.
Second, it's quite a change when people on this board are actually pumping up the Ohio State schedule. As I said above, they can afford to lose one game as long as it's not Michigan. Wisconsin has me worried because OSU beat them to a pulp the last time they played, it's a night game and it's in Madison. I don't think Penn State or Northwestern has a QB capable of playing a solid 4 quarters to top Ohio State. Nebraska is at home so we should have the edge in that one. Maryland shouldn't pose much of a problem and while MSU always plays the Buckeyes tough, they also don't have the QB's to hang with OSU and by that game they may be totally demoralized with 4 or 5 losses. That leave's Michigan and there will be no trouble being focused for that one. My hope is they'll both be undefeated but as long as OSU only has one loss, I like their chances of getting to the BIG championship and making the playoffs...

Wisconsin is a good team, but not in the class of OSU or Michigan. Penn State? Bah! They're much better than last year, but... not ready to beat OSU. Northwestern is roadkill. Nebraska is OVER-RATED. They needed multiple assists from the refs to beat a mediocre Oregon team. Maryland could be a tough game, on the road... but hell, they couldn't even beat Penn State. Michigan State is in free-fall. They could save their season by upsetting OSU. But, that would be a major miracle.
Before they play Michigan, the Buckeyes will have more bruises... I'll grant you that... but I don't think they'll have any losses.

Ya we definitely have a top 4 with: Alabama Ohio State Clemson WashingtonAlabama is about to face Tennessee and Texas A&M back to back...it would not surprise me if they dropped one of those games. Beating A&M is a must though... Ohio State has a loooong road ahead. Two road games at Camp Randall and Penn State...Not only do I see them losing once, but could have possibly 2-3 losses. That kind of long schedule is too much for college teams... Clemson has to be the luckiest with their scheduling...even if they were to lose to FSU, the rest of their schedule is completely winnable. A 12-1 ACC Champion Clemson is sure to make the playoff....might not be the top seed, but they'll be in. Washington is so bizarre...they are dormant for years, and then suddenly emerge from hiding and burst onto the National Championship scene. 1991 and 2000 are good examples, and now here they are again. How good are the Huskies? I have no idea...but they just beat Oregon and Stanford by a combined score of 114-27. So....I'm a believer now. I think they're going to carve through their schedule. They have a couple of tricky games with Utah and USC, but with the way they are playing, I don't see them losing. So....things could happen, but I think Clemson and Washington have excellent chances to get to the playoff....We'll have to see what happens with Alabama and Ohio State. If the Buckeyes lose, who replaces them?? Is Alabama in danger of Tennessee or Texas A&M stealing their bid?? Clemson's schedule definitely better this year, even with a trip to Tally. Last year the bye came too early, and the defense had no depth, which nearly cost dearly. Bye was week 3 and then 10 straight weeks.
This year's D is built differently, much more depth on DL especially. Dabo was under criticism earlier this year for playing lots of kids instead of getting blowout wins.
Clemson gets NCST this week, then a bye, then FSU. After FSU, it's the SYR, WF crowd.

I like your confidence in the Buckeyes but I don't see any layups down the stretch and every one of these teams has tOSU marked on their schedule. We got the luck of the draw with Wiscy, Nebraska, and Northwestern in the crossovers so it will definitely be a challenge.
