Pretty simple from a CFP perspective. If you are a P5 undefeated team not in the B12 you control your own destiny. Louisville appears to be first in line with the 1 loss teams but that can change if Wiscy beats tOSU or Tennessee Beats Alabama. Houston going down all but eliminates the G5 teams. If any of the G5 go undefeated it would take multiple 2 loss conference champs to even have a consideration.
Regarding the Top 4 prediction Alabama appears to be machine like in their approach. Even a Freshman QB can't slow them down Clemson Beating Louisville was huge overcoming many mistakes. Dominating BC showed a far more focused team then we saw earlier Ohio State Showed signs of vulnerability against Indiana. Washington Definitely legitimized themselves as a top 4 with a dominating win over Oregon
Michigan starting to make some arguments to replace tOSU
Still not fully sold on Nebraska and TAM but they will have their day.
No Loss P5 9 Nebraska, Michigan, Ohio State, Texas AM, Alabama, Washington Clemson,Baylor, West Virginia
1 Loss P5 11 Maryland, Wisconsin, Tennessee, Florida,NC State, Wake Forest, Louisville, Virginia Tech Miami, AZ State, Utah
0 Loss G5 3 Boise St, Western Michigan Air Force

You would think so.. I'm surprised he hasn't been around in a season where Nebraska and Air Force are doing so well? Maybe, he unplugged from the Internet.

Ya we definitely have a top 4 with: Alabama Ohio State Clemson Washington
Alabama is about to face Tennessee and Texas A&M back to back...it would not surprise me if they dropped one of those games. Beating A&M is a must though...
Ohio State has a loooong road ahead. Two road games at Camp Randall and Penn State...Not only do I see them losing once, but could have possibly 2-3 losses. That kind of long schedule is too much for college teams...
Clemson has to be the luckiest with their scheduling...even if they were to lose to FSU, the rest of their schedule is completely winnable. A 12-1 ACC Champion Clemson is sure to make the playoff....might not be the top seed, but they'll be in.
Washington is so bizarre...they are dormant for years, and then suddenly emerge from hiding and burst onto the National Championship scene. 1991 and 2000 are good examples, and now here they are again. How good are the Huskies? I have no idea...but they just beat Oregon and Stanford by a combined score of 114-27. So....I'm a believer now. I think they're going to carve through their schedule. They have a couple of tricky games with Utah and USC, but with the way they are playing, I don't see them losing.
So....things could happen, but I think Clemson and Washington have excellent chances to get to the playoff....We'll have to see what happens with Alabama and Ohio State. If the Buckeyes lose, who replaces them?? Is Alabama in danger of Tennessee or Texas A&M stealing their bid??

Ohio State can lose one game, as long as it's not Michigan, and they'll be in the playoff. That's the challenge....

I think we are seeing peak Ohio State. They simply look tough to me, just based on my personal eye test.
We've seen the playbook on how to get to FSU - run tempo, and don't let them get momentum in the 2nd half.
Clemson should be at least an 85% favorite in the rest of its games, excluding FSU. Maybe 55-45 in that one, or even 50-50.
Bama has a tough stretch coming.

Ohio State has 4 as well. As you stated, Clemson and Washington seem to be on running on all cylinders. At this point, they look to be locks to be in the CFP.

Texas A&M can steal it from them with a win...if the Aggies beat them, Alabama is 2nd in the West and will need A&M to lose twice 12-1 Alabama needs to be SEC Champs to get in...or else they need the B1G Champ to have 2 losses

Then, lose @ Miss St, and again to LSU to blow it.
That's what they do.

I don't see ANYONE in the B1G who can threaten Ohio State other than Michigan.
Do you guys see what's coming though? When was the last time we all REALLY REALLY cared about the OSU-MICHIGAN game? And, the game had real consequence to it. I always loved watching the Buckeyes and Wolverines battling for a bowl spot. This game is going to be for a CFP spot. Never better. Can't wait.
I know you Ohio boys enjoyed being the only big kid on the block. But, I think you have to admit, it's GOOD for the conference when Michigan is also good. Look at the respect the entire conference is getting now.

Look at the respect the entire conference is getting now. It has been exactly 10 years since number 1 and number 2 tOSU and SCUM battled on the field. Unfortunately for us BIG'ers we both laid an egg in our next game. When tOSU took it on the chin during the Cooper years, I am fine with them competing for the Outback Bowl on an annual basis.

Look at the respect the entire conference is getting now. Bama does seem to drop one every season and it is usually earlier on. Seems like a good pick at the moment. So what is UT coaching situation looking like? I think without a doubt I make a play for Tom Herman and make it quick. A second candidate is PJ Fleck from Western Michigan. Turned a very bad program into a very good MAC program. He is young energetic and gave the Buckeyes everything they could handle last season. Strong appears to be all but gone and if that is the decision I think they need to cut the cord as soon as possible.

Look at the respect the entire conference is getting now. cmon man, I thought you knew college football better than that... I'd bet heavy money Ohio State drops a game before Michigan. The remaining schedule since their bye is: Rutgers W Indiana W @ Wisconsin @ Penn State Northwestern Nebraska @ Maryland @ Michigan State Michigan Ohio State gets no breaks...no South Alabamas...no more byes or cupcakes. It is 9 straight games...4 road games, 3 of which are completely hostile territory. They have one of the hardest remaining schedules in the country. If they make it through that, they deserve the #1 seed in the playoffs Alabama still has a bye, and easy wins with Miss State and Chattanooga Clemson? easy layup schedule...one tough game against FSU which really won't hurt them if they lose, and an ACC Championship Even Michigan has an easier schedule...a bye this week, and a home layup against Illinois before a 5 game stretch we'll see how Ohio State does this weekend against a very physical Wisconsin team, know that the Buckeyes have to turn around and do it all again next weekend at Penn State
