So far, Sessions is owning these clowns. Clowns? You diminish yourself with such characterizations. Sessions is being evasive, which is surprising because I always considered him to be a stand-up guy. He is refusing to answer straightforward questions, and is incapable of coming up with a legal basis for so doing. The questions he is refusing to answer are not about classified documents or information. He cannot invoke executive privilege, and President Trump has not invoked executive privilege. However, he is doing a good job when he chooses to answer. He just expressed his confidence in Robert Mueller.

Just the fact that Sessions agreed to do this dog and pony show...gives it legitimacy. Gives the made up subject of Russia legitimacy.
Parts of it are important. For example, who manufactured and who leaked the fake “dossier” that Comedy used as a basis to keep this Russia BS alive?
Mueller has stacked the deck with Clintonistas and Obamabots.
Breaking news: Justice Department Source overheard Bob Mueller stating he would "Get Even" with Trump over Comey statements!.....Developing...
Senator McCain: Senator Sessions, at the moment I’m thinking of an issue related to the salad dressing offered today in the Senate Cafeteria. I saw Russian dressing. Would you please tell me what that was all about?
Sessions: Huh?
[Burr puts his hand over his mike] "Get Graham in here stat!"

He is refusing to answer straightforward questions, and is incapable of coming up with a legal basis for so doing.. I'm going to assume that you posted this BEFORE Sessions gave the explanations I saw on replays. Otherwise, what you've just said make little sense to me. It's no mystery why cabinet officials don't freely testify before Congress all the details of their conversations with the President. EVEN YOU can figure out why that is a bad policy.

I watched his attempt at an explanation, and it was woeful. It appeared that he was caught totally off guard by a question he should have anticipated, and should have been fully prepared to knock out of the park. The rest of his testimony was outstanding, as expected.

tigercpa: Mueller has stacked the deck with Clintonistas and Obamabots
FHF: Please enlighten us. Who is on Mueller's staff?
tigercpa: Breaking news: Justice Department Source overheard Bob Mueller stating he would "Get Even" with Trump over Comey statements!
FHF: If true, Sessions can get to the bottom of this quickly. The "Justice Department Source" works for Sessions. Mueller was appointed by Rosenstein, who is TRUMP's nominee.

You can't tell what issue you dodged? And, you want ME to spell it out for you? Here's another question: Do you know where you can put your goose eggs?

Are you losing it?
I said that Sessions explanation as to why he wouldn't answer some questions was woeful. Then, I said that the rest of his testimony was outstanding. I was right on both counts. Watch Stephen Hayes on the replay of tonight's Fox News.
From that, somehow you are charging me with ducking an issue. Say what? That is just plain nuts. Twisted.
The was a wide range of issues that I didn't address in that observation. A multitude. And, for some bizarre reason, you expect me to conjure up the one that is pushing your hot button at the moment?
Predictably, you wrap it up with yet another of your childish personal attacks.

Let's assume, for the sake of argument, that Mueller has overloaded his staff with Trump haters. In today's hearing, Sessions said that he has full confidence in Robert Mueller. DAG Rod Rosenstein, who was nominated by Trump, is the only person who can fire Mueller. He expressed full confidence in Mueller repeatedly at today's hearing. He also said that he would defy an unlawful Trump order to fire Mueller. And, his having staff members who are anti-Trump is not the basis for a lawful order. Trump has the authority to fire Rosenstein at any time, without cause, and nominate a replacement who would do his bidding. Good luck with the Senate confirmation. If Trump was to fire Rosenstein, he would do so at the risk of Sessions resigning. Now, put yourself in Donald Trump's shoes. What are you going to do?
