tigercpa: Most of the left are quietly moving away from the fake Russian conspiracy nonsense - "muh Russians". FHF: You just made that up. Talk about being duped -- you are among the few remaining holdouts who still contend that the Russians didn't interfere in the U.S. election. Even Donald Trump has swallowed his pride and now concedes that the Russians hacked the computers. Nope, the NYT, the WaPo, and many other Dem leaders have been walking back their comments on "Russia" for several weeks now.
The fake story no longer polls well, so of course, Dems will back away.
thehill.com/homenews/campaign/339248-dems-push-leaders-to-talk-less-about-Russia
Dozens of “smoking gun” stories that have fueled the Russia narrative have been heavily retracted or debunked.
Again, there was no evidence the DNC was “hacked” (WikiLeaks claims the information was an inside job of “leaking”), Hillary Clinton blames the Macedonians, and even John Podesta admitted himself he was a victim of an ordinary “phishing” password change scam.
Consider this gobbledygook from the "analysis":
Both groups have historically targeted government organizations, think tanks, universities, and corporations around the world. APT29 has been observed crafting targeted spearphishing campaigns leveraging web links to a malicious dropper; once executed, the code delivers Remote Access Tools (RATs) and evades detection using a range of techniques.
APT28 is known for leveraging domains that closely mimic those of targeted organizations and tricking potential victims into entering legitimate credentials. APT28 actors relied heavily on shortened URLs in their spearphishing email campaigns. Once APT28 and APT29 have access to victims, both groups exfiltrate and analyze information to gain intelligence value.
These groups use this information to craft highly targeted spearphishing campaigns. These actors set up operational infrastructure to obfuscate their source infrastructure, host domains and malware for targeting organizations, establish command and control nodes, and harvest credentials and other valuable information from their targets.
It was Hillary, as well as John Podesta, that initially kept repeating the 17 intel agencies mythology. Heck, Podesta was using that lie again just the other day in the interview he did with Maria Bartiromo.
The story was made up from whole cloth by Obama and culminated in the ruse where he kicked out the Russian diplomats to further the fake meme that the Russians hacked the election.

-- who supposedly duped me re: the 17 intelligence agencies/services? It wasn't just you that was duped. It was the AP, the New York Times, and a host of other news agencies... also, Politifact (although, they were more than willing to help spread the lie). The falsehood was pushed by Hillary Clinton and ALL of her campaign aides. It was a coordinated plan. (Based on info from the author who wrote a book about her campaign) The TRUTH was, this lie was started by Brennan, Clapper and Comey. It helped add "gravitas" to their claims... which, many doubted because of their well-known high level of partisanship. Truly, I only started this thread because, it's a PRETTY RARE day when news "leaders" like the NYT and AP admit to such a mistake. I felt it was worth noting. And wondered whether you would also admit the fraud. I don't blame you for accepting it, and trumpeting it repeatedly. In the not too distant past, it was reasonable to assume things printed by the NYT and AP were true. Maybe, this is a sign that those days are returning? I hope so... Meanwhile, I continue to wonder how long you will cling to the falsehood?

Bizarre. That has never happened to me before. My lengthy response to tigercpa disappeared when I hit the Create Post button.

tigercpa: Most of the left are quietly moving away from the fake Russian conspiracy nonsense - "muh Russians". FHF: You just made that up. Talk about being duped -- you are among the few remaining holdouts who still contend that the Russians didn't interfere in the U.S. election. Even Donald Trump has swallowed his pride and now concedes that the Russians hacked the computers.
Trying again:
tigecpa: 1. Nope, the NYT, the WaPo, and many other Dem leaders have been walking back their comments on "Russia" for several weeks now. FHF: Even if so, how do two newspapers and some Democrat leaders constitute "most of the left"?
tigercpa: 2. The fake story no longer polls well, so of course, Dems will back away. thehill.com/homenews/campaign/339248-dems-push-leaders-to-talk-less-about-Russia FHF: What "fake story"? The article simply says that Democrats are finding that their constituents don't care that much about Russia.
tigercpa: 3. Dozens of “smoking gun” stories that have fueled the Russia narrative have been heavily retracted or debunked. FHF: Where are these 'dozens of "smoking gun" stories?
tigercpa: 4. Again, there was no evidence the DNC was “hacked” (WikiLeaks claims the information was an inside job of “leaking”) FHF: There is intelligence that you might never be authorized to see in your lifetime. The FBI has evidence that you might never be authorized to see in your lifetime.
tigercpa: 5. Hillary Clinton blames the Macedonians. FHF: She might be right. If so, the Macedonians would have acted as intermediaries on behalf of the Russian government. Reports suggest that the intelligence agencies are not in agreement as to whether the Russians engaged intermediaries to leak the hacked documents and information to Wikileaks, or whether Russian agents did so, albeit from one or more third countries.
tigercpa: 6. and even John Podesta admitted himself he was a victim of an ordinary “phishing” password change scam. FHF: That appears to be likely. However, if so, Podesta was probably duped by a Russian phishing expedition.
tigercpa: 7. Consider this gobbledygook from the "analysis": Both groups have historically targeted government organizations, think tanks, universities, and corporations around the world. No need to feel embarrassed if that is over your head. Try reading it again, more slowly. It will make sense.
tigercpa: 8. It was Hillary, as well as John Podesta, that initially kept repeating the 17 intel agencies mythology. Heck, Podesta was using that lie again just the other day in the interview he did with Maria Bartiromo. FHF: What mythology? Are you contending that only 4 intelligence agencies were involved in the analysis of the Russian hackings?
tigercpa: 9. The story was made up from whole cloth by Obama and culminated in the ruse where he kicked out the Russian diplomats to further the fake meme that the Russians hacked the election. FHF: You just made that up.

The consensus of the 4 major intelligence agencies, together with the FBI and the DNI is conclusive. The minor intelligence services would add zero to the credibility. Your wild allegation that Politifact was part of this conspiracy is baseless. You do have an overactive and creative imagination.

FHF: You just made that up. LOL, it's not that it's over my head, it the fact it's so generic the analysis hardly supports any particular involvement, but that was the premise.
This analysis was cooked up to support the false Russian narrative - by giving "credibility" to those easily duped by the appeal to authority.
It's nothing more than vague, generic hacking that is no more substantive than any other hacking report on any other foreign actor - it perfectly describes the emails that the Nigerian Price of Finance sends me about my $10 million he was waiting for me, all I need to do is send him my bank account info ( I should be getting my $10 million this week, he said).
It's a political construct, not legitimate evidence of Russian involvement. Unnecessarily filled with technical mumbo-jumbo.
Yahoo, among others, was only too happy to help carry the water:
www.yahoo.com/news/us-expels-35-russian-intel-agents-over-vote-193213160.html
Rogers was very lukewarm on the confidence of this "report", and wisely so...despite that, the media intentionally never reported his position, despite being credited with co-author status.

Also remember:
"Admiral Mike Rogers traveled to Trump Tower (after the election) on Friday November 11th without notifying the White House or Clapper.
The next day, November 12th, President-Elect Trump moved the entire Transition Team from Trump Tower to his New Jersey country club.”
Rogers is a white hat.

The consensus of the 4 major intelligence agencies, together with the FBI and the DNI is conclusive. You would THINK it would be... wouldn't you? And yet? It wasn't. Hillary had to embellish the truth by trying to make it "all 17". And all of the fawning press lapped it up. Well... at least you seem to have given up promoting the lie. That's progress, I guess?

You devised a grand conspiracy theory -- out of thin air. Pure speculation, without a shred of supporting evidence. The linchpin of your wild theory is that the guy who may very well have handed the election to Trump on a silver platter by reopening the investigation of Hillary a few days before the election is a Democrat partisan. Lol. Sorry to disappoint, but my views remain unchanged. Hillary didn't embellish anything. Politifact correctly noted that she was referencing the joint letter: "The U.S. Intelligence Community (USIC) is confident that the Russian Government directed the recent compromises of e-mails from US persons and institutions, including from US political organizations." The USIC is composed of all 17 intelligence services. You avoided my simple question. Are you contending that no U.S. intelligence agency, beyond the four, participated in the investigation and analysis of the Russian hackings and interference in the election? You also ducked my question as to who supposedly duped me.

You also ducked my question as to who supposedly duped me. Actually, yes - it was only 4 agencies, as per the NYTimes correction, that prepared the analysis and report.
Correction: June 29, 2017
A White House Memo article on Monday about President Trump’s deflections and denials about Russia referred incorrectly to the source of an intelligence assessment that said Russia orchestrated hacking attacks during last year’s presidential election. The assessment was made by four intelligence agencies — the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, the Central Intelligence Agency, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the National Security Agency. The assessment was not approved by all 17 organizations in the American intelligence community. For example, the intelligence arm of the Coast Guard does not investigate political issues.
Another debunked Russian conspiracy story. From a technical standpoint, the JAR does not prove Russia did anything.
The Podesta Gmail hack was done using a very out of date Ukranian WordPress malware. A WordPress security firm was able to examine it and reported on the results, which had no Russian fingerprints at all in it.
The alleged DNC hack never has been fully reported, nor did the FBI ever examine the server forensics. Only a paid-DNC consultant with ties to a Ukrainian nationalist billionaire made the accusation. Not a reliable source at all.

You devised a grand conspiracy theory -- out of thin air. Pure speculation, without a shred of supporting evidence. I didn't create this theory. It's one that's been circulated by many in the "right leaning" media. It does require SOME speculation, but there IS supporting evidence. Not that "anonymous" kid either... it's from named journalist who had open access to the Clinton campaign. Shattered: Inside Hillary Clinton's Doomed Campaign Book by Amie Parnes and Jonathan Allen www.breitbart.com/big-government/2017/04/21/shattered-revelation-clinton-campaign-hatched-russian-hacking-narrative-24-hours-after-hillarys-loss/My own theories are FAR MORE creative. I think, the Podesta email leaks were an inside leak, from a pissed off Bernie backer. IF Russia was involved at all? It was only to send a message to Hillary that they had access to ALL of HER emails, and were planning to blackmail her with them. I don't believe for a second that the Russians ever thought Hillary would lose to Trump. I also believe the press is ignoring the REAL "scandal of the century"... the "worse than Watergate" scandal. I think Obama was using the "USIC" to spy on the Trump campaign. Clapper, Brennan, and yes... beloved Comey were all well aware of what was going on. And, they invented, and/or hyped the "Russian Hacking narrative" to cover their tracks. That's MY theory. I suspect, one day... the truth will be revealed. Heaven only knows how long that will take. You avoided my simple question. Are you contending that no U.S. intelligence agency, beyond the four, participated in the investigation and analysis of the Russian hackings and interference in the election? I'm not avoiding anything... I've already answered this, with the quotes from NYT and AP. You, apparently, just don't bother to read my posts? You also ducked my question as to who supposedly duped me. Further evidence that you don't read my replies.
