Look for me guys. I'll be the skinny kid carrying the heavy M60 machine gun with cartridge belts wrapped all around me and a metal cartridge box in hand probably walking the rice paddy dikes in the Mekong Delta or wading through the leech infested canals. If the 199th Light Infantry Brigade is mentioned...that's us.
Also , if any footage of John Kerry meeting with Vietnam Vets Against The War in Wilmington, Del to organize a protest..I was there too.
FHF is also in this show.

I love military history.
Thomas Wictor on Twitter has been doing a fascinating storyline on the history of the flamethrower.

I was the tall guy in the back row of Bob Hope's 1967 Christmas show at Long Binh - about a half mile from the stage.

I've been waiting for this show... Ken Burns is a flaming liberal. But, he's done outstanding work with his Civil War documentary, and Baseball..... I think, despite his liberal bent, he's a pretty fair historian. I've been looking forward to his Vietnam series... I KNOW I will learn things.

We revisit them often

No thanks. I'll be watching Monday Night Football. As for Vietnam, been there, done that. I was 13 in 1973, when it all ended. I remember watching all the news, and hearing about what went on. And, I've read "some" (not much) of the back story about how we first got involved.... (Thanks, France) But, I've never felt like I knew enough about what really went on. I'm recording the series. I'll give it a start anyway... see how it goes.
