Everyone knows who's going to be in the NC playoffs. We have a clear cut leader for the Heisman trophy. Dan Mullen needs to get his resume ready for a better job than MSU. The Falcons are the team to beat in the NFC. The Dodgers were unbeatable until they lost 16 out of 17 games and the Indians reeled off 22 straight. Sports writers are 'experts'. It's unbelievable. Just about every team is an injury away from falling on the scrap heap - just ask Oakland last year. So I'm going to enjoy every week and not worry about what might happen in December - October and November will have a lot to say about that.

You forgot: The Astros are DEFINITELY going to win the World Series! That was the narrative in mid-June! Also, Texas still had a long way to go following the Maryland game but now they're back following the USC game - but you would know more about that than me!

I have no idea who's going to be in the playoffs....I think it's very hard to say.... Alabama and Clemson seem the closest thing to a sure thing. I think they could both drop a game and still find their way in I DO think the Falcons are the team to beat in the NFC....they are loaded on both sides of the ball. Who else is there? Dallas? just got blown out by Denver Seattle? looking like a playoff team but not Super Bowl contender Detroit? Tampa Bay?

How about calling that "NC playoffs" the DPI or Dr. Pepper Invitational, which better describes the event.
