This is what I see or project for the College Football Playoff and the NFL Conference Championship games and Super Bowl:
College Playoff
#1 Alabama vs. #4 Penn State #2 Ohio State vs. #3 Clemson
Championship: Alabama over Clemson
Rationale: The biggest difference this week is Penn State in the playoffs. I still think Ohio State wins this weekend in the Horseshoe, but I think Penn State has a great chance to the make the playoffs. Oklahoma, TCU, and Notre Dame could change the playoff picture. Penn State would need those teams to lose. Clemson still has some tough games too, and Alabama's schedule gets increasingly harder as the season goes on, so I don't think either of those teams are 100% locks. For now, the PAC 12 is sitting on the outside looking in.
NFL Playoff
NFC Championship: Dallas over Seattle
AFC Championship: Jacksonville over New England
Super Bowl: Jacksonville over Dallas
Rationale: So, this week is entirely different for the NFC. Gone is Atlanta...I think they have major problems right now, and are significantly under-performing. I've moved Dallas and Seattle to the top of the NFC. I think Dallas is starting to surge. I think they have the pieces to make a strong Super Bowl run, and with Aaron Rodgers out of the picture, I don't see a QB that can derail them (maybe Wentz?). I'm also impressed with the LA Rams...they look like a real contender right now. For the AFC, I still have Jacksonville and New England as the top teams. Jacksonville needs to be consistent. When they are "on", they are absolutely mauling people (multiple 10 or more sack games). New England is still New England...I still don't think they are protecting Brady as well, but they keep winning.

lol No love for TCU? I think the Horned Frogs get it done this year. They go undefeated. The rest of the Big 12 are pretenders.
I don't think it's likely that two teams from ANY conference make the CFP.

I like TCU and I'm pulling for them... but I don't feel hopeful The rest of their schedule is: @ Iowa State Texas @ Oklahoma @ Texas Tech That is a rough road there....Iowa State is tricky enough, you can't look past them. Then they get hit in the mouth by the Texas D. Then they have to keep Baker Mayfield in check. And if they make it through all that, they have to go play in Lubbock, which can be tricky at times. I think TCU loses at least 2 of those games and gets spit out of the National Championship picture I'm not sure how the Big XII Championship game works either...I'm assuming it's the top 2 teams? TCU may have to beat Oklahoma twice

Texas is also terrible... we will kill ourselves against a good team like TCU. OU's weakness is pass defense. They have none. TCU will take advantage of that in ways that Texas couldn't. You're right about Lubbock. Weird things happen there. But, it would be a MAJOR upset. The Big 12 will pair the top two teams. So, yes... TCU is likely to have to play OU twice. It's a STUPID, and completely unfair setup. A weak response to the "must have a CCG game" crowd. I predict: it will PREVENT more teams from getting to the CFP than it helps.

I can't believe I have to argue with a Texas fan about how good Texas is lol The D man! It's all about the D Holding Oklahoma State to 10 pts for 4 quarters was a win. Unfortunately the offense is what it is

Unfortunately the offense is what it is We are demoralized. You can't believe the amount of in-fighting going on in Longhorn Land. :-( Doesn't help that Charlie is sitting at 6-0. I'm happy for him. He landed EXACTLY where he needed to be. He's a "Florida-guy" at heart. I have very little hope that we will beat TCU. We're just not up to that caliber of play.

It's tough to lose like that 2 weeks in a row. Hopefully Herman can convince them that there is still gas in the tank and things to play for...

If Iowa State "sucks", Bevo than 80% of all FBS teams must "suck"

If Iowa State "sucks", Bevo than 80% of all FBS teams must "suck" That sounds about the right ratio, Hen. Right now? Pretty much EVERYTHING SUCKS!! I'm in a semi-permanent Longhorn losing funk.... I'm trying to stay away from sharp objects.

What happens to Wisconsin, Notre Dame, BIG12 Champ and PAC12 Champ?

Wisconsin is going to be 12-0 in the BIG championship - they have a very easy schedule as it is and their hardest games left - Michigan and Iowa - are both at Camp Randall. Neither of those teams has an offense that's going to strike fear. Wisconsin should be able to grind out wins over both of them. So they basically have a one game season to possibly make the playoff. The east teams are playing some physical games while Wisconsin is whipping the has beens in the west.

What happens to Wisconsin, Notre Dame, BIG12 Champ and PAC12 Champ? Wisconsin- I think they lose, most likely in the Big 10 Championship. They are good, but I don't think they have the fire power to keep up with a Penn State or Ohio State Notre Dame- I have a feeling they are going to lose to Stanford...possibly to Miami as well PAC 12 Champ- We're really talking the Washington/Washington State winner, because if they lose the PAC 12 Championship, the conference in all likelihood is eliminated. I think Washington/Washington State are looking from the outside, and need A LOT of help to make it. Very slim odds here Big XII Champ - Were talking Oklahoma/TCU here. Oklahoma State is on the outside looking in with such a weak OOC schedule. TCU still has a hard road before they can punch their ticket. Oklahoma still has Oklahoma State and TCU. Also, you NOW have the official Big XII Championship with the top two teams playing each other, so it will be a rematch. There's just no margin for error IMO for those schools...they have to be perfect from here on out. What are the odds of that? And honestly, who else besides Ohio State, Penn State, Clemson and Alabama are playing at a high level? possibly Georgia, and they can play their way into the playoffs

For Penn St to get in the with a loss and no big 10 CCG then 3 of the 4 things has to happen 2 loss ACC champ (highly unlikely) 2 loss P12 champ 2 loss B12 champ 2 loss ND I don't see a 2 loss champ coming from the B10 or SEC this year. Also UGA could also throw in a wrench if they win out and lose a tough one to BAMA. I don't foresee a 2
