No fancy colors this week - I have a trip with our president so I have to keep things short and sweet. I would like to say something about the fake field goal Iowa ran to perfection against Ohio State on Saturday. I played high school football in the mid-70's and we would try to run that play. When we'd line up in that formation, the opposing coach would call timeout and make sure the defense knew who was eligible and what to look for. Ohio State didn't even do that. They let the center catch the ball right down the middle of the field. What an embarrassment. They were not ready to play and have no one but themselves (and their coaches) to blame. Really disappointing. Iowa may have 2 or 3 kids who would start for Ohio State but they showed one thing that the Bucks didn't - heart. On to the games! Note - the Stanford/Washington game is on Friday!

My picks...
Oklahoma - although I could see a Sooner let down following that high scoring affair last week. Fortunately for them, the game is in Norman.
Wisconsin - No way the Hawkeyes can repeat in Madison, what they did last week in Iowa City. The Badgers will run it down their throats, just like Ohio State should have done last week.
Alabama - I really think 'Bama can name the score.
Michigan State - Obviously I want Ohio state to win but given the recent history of this game, 14.5 is just too, damn many points.
Miami - Have I mentioned before that I hate Notre Dame?
