The Tides schedule got ripped by ESPN, along with many talking heads saying the Conference Title should carry more weight than a team not even winning it's own division. Alabama may get jumped by Ohio State folks and there are people arguing on both sides inside ESPN, but it seems the momentum for Ohio State is picking up steam. Alabama is no longer a lock if Wisconsin loses.....thats just the vibe I'm getting. Vodka is right, if the commitee is going to favor conference championships, then make it a requirement.

The power ranking on ESPN's web site shows Bama having a BETTER SOS than Ohio State.

The power ranking on ESPN's web site shows Bama having a BETTER SOS than Ohio State. Rece Davis and Paul Finebaum were both talking....a win over an undefeated Wisconsin will Trump anything Alabama has done, Ohio State has wins over Penn State and Michigan State....the way they were talking..... Alabama needs Auburn to win and Ohio State to win. If Auburn loses the loss to a 3 loss team looks worse

I've heard it all day today, last year was a mistake and a nonleagie champion should not be in the Playoff, don't be surprised if Ohio State beats Wisconsin and Bama is left out

Last year it wasn't important so Ohio State could be included and this year it is important so Ohio State can be included.
I think they are trying to tell us something.

Alabama needs Oklahoma to lose; I don't think TCU or the Pac 12 champ can pass Alabama. I do think a 13th data point, a win against an undefeated team, and a championship would most likely vault tOSU over Alabama. That being said, I think both Wisconsin and Oklahoma win and the committee has an easy job.

Don't forget though Alabama has won a national title without winning it's conference title before and that was at best kinda shady. Look if you want to say Conference Titles matter in a 4 team Playoff I'm all for it, but make that a standard. Playoff teams must win thier conference's to make the playoff

I'm going to wait and see how the chips fall before I start politicking - I gotta believe Wisconsin will have something to say about this on Saturday - they're sure getting plenty of fuel to have one of the biggest chips on their shoulders of all time!

Rece Davis and Paul Finebaum were both talking....a win over an undefeated Wisconsin will Trump anything Alabama has done, LOL!!! Who?? Never heard of Rece Davis, and Finebaum (aka undertaker) is a well known idiot. ALL those guys care about is: getting ratings. They got you listening "All Day"! Meanwhile, the CFP committee (as I predicted) parked Bama at #5. If ANY of the top 4 lose this weekend (Clemson, Auburn, Wisky, OU) Bama is IN! You can take that to the bank. I think the committee made a HUGE mistake last year, when they set a precedent that their "eye test" was more important than a Conference Championship and Head to Head. The way the Buckeye shat the bed in January proved they were wrong. Is there anyone who still thinks last year's Penn State wouldn't have done better than 31-0? If they reverse that this year, by lifting OSU ahead of Bama? They will totally destroy any scrap of credibility and cause the public to turn away from the entire process. The Bullshit Factor would be off the charts. Like many people, I have tried to give the committee the benefit of the doubt.... waiting to SEE if they do things that make sense and are defendable. Last year was a not a good year for them. I actually agreed last year, that I thought OSU was a "better team"... but, I was 100% AGAINST what they did, mainly because: I think Head to Head competition should be the #1 tie-breaker between any two teams that are even close to being in the same ballpark. Rarely will they ever get such an easy factor handed to them. COMPETITION MUST MATTER! Heartbreaking and unconvincing as it was, Penn State BEAT Ohio State last year, AND won the conference championship. NO WAY they should have been over-looked. In hindsight, that decision may just bring down the entire screwed up systems... since, it set a precedent that will very hard for them to correct. Bottom Line: It's those four, or Bama is IN! If TWO of those four lose (and one is Wisky), then Bama AND OSU will be in.

Make winning a Conference Title next season. Don't forget though Alabama has won a national title without winning thier division already! Are we gonna include them in the Playoff every year because they look Good? You could say them same with with Ohio State..... that's why some structure is gonna have to be added to the Playoff.

THE college basketball commitee Basketball doesn't matter... they invite EVERY TEAM with a pulse. They just screw people with Seedings. Bama doesn't just "Look good"... they are ahead in virtually every statistical measure. Even with the loss, Sagarin has them rated a full THREE points higher than the next best team (Clemson). www.usatoday.com/sports/ncaaf/sagarin/

The power ranking on ESPN's web site shows Bama having a BETTER SOS than Ohio State. There are oodles of assorted SOS rankings out there. Of course ESPN is going to pick one out that supports its agenda. Beware of ESPN
