I love Lee Coral, but his stance on Alabama this year is absolutely wrong. I think this years Alabama Team has the opportunity to be an all-time great, but if they lose to Georgia and everyone else wins out.......they absolutely cannot, not should they make the Playoff......Even if they might be better than the 4 teams invited to the Playoff.
Every team has to play at least one elite level team on their way to the Playoff.....sometimes two, if they lose they are usually out of the Playoff mix.....we cannot have special circumstances for certain teams. If you do not like that expand the playoff, because heres the fact. An ubdefeated Notre Dame deserve to play for the championship, a Big Ten Champion with one loss deserves to be there, an undefeated Clemson deserves to be there. You might cite Notre Dames "weak schedule" right now Alabamas schedule is only ranked 3 places ahead of them.

I mean my God, the 1980 Soviet Hockey team would have beaten the USA mens Hockey team 4-1 in a best of 7. Did the Olympic Commitee after the Miracle on Ice give the Soviets a rematch? Another chance to win the Gold?........NO in fact the best they could have done was a silver.....and they were by far and away the best team

In an 8 team Playoff with at least 4 of the Power 5 participating I have no problem with at larges being taken......Alabama even without a conference title could be chosen as at large and there would not be a peep from me....in a 4 team playoff though.....having multiple conferences left out because another gets two.......sucks.

Eight makes sense. I have thought that from day one.

If Georgia beats Alabama - a big IF - Alabama should be out. Georgia should not have to beat Bama twice and Bama shouldn’t get a bogey.

If Georgia beats Alabama - a big IF - Alabama should be out. Georgia should not have to beat Bama twice and Bama shouldn’t get a bogey. It depends on HOW the loss occurred.... And on how everyone else plays between now and then, Righ now, I think the CFP is 1) Bama. (Or UGA, but not as #1 seed) 2) Clemson 3) Notre Dame 4) OSU/Mich winner next up, in case of extreme craziness..... Wash St or OU

[br Clemson 13-0 ND 12-0 Georgia 12-1 conference champs Oklahoma or WVU 12-1 conference champs BIG champ 12-1 WSU 12-1 conference champs Alabama 11-1, loss to Georgia in SEC championship In this scenario, I don’t think Alabama should get a bogey, Georgia would have beaten them - they shouldn’t have to beat them again plus, there would be 3 conference champions left out.like I said, it’s a big IF, but I wouldn’t call it the Alabama Rule, but what should happen. As it is, 2 conference champs would be left out.

I agree, PAC 12 for sure. BIG had a huge problem in that Northwestern has already wrapped up the West division so the East champ won’t get style points in the championship game.

Comical reading the various scenarios for Bama. Look men, Bama is locked in regardless of W-L , regardless of SOS and regardless of winning any conference or division titles. Does anybody really think ESPN is going to exclude Alabama from its premier, prime time, CF extravaganza of the season ? There are different qualifying rules for different teams based on marketability and brand name and Nick and Bama epitomize that in this ridiculous system, fraudulently sold to us as some kind of championship.

Is that what that odd looking thing was in my backyard ?
You still don't think Disney Co. runs CF...especially the post season ?.. It's the operational and media arm of the Cartel.
