3 hours ago *ichigan was the consensus #4 team in the playoff picture.
Also 3 hours ago, this was the #3 defense in the nation.

Congrats Buckeyes! Great game.
Now, let’s hope they don’t party all week.
So... if NW wins, and Texas wins, and Bama wins.... does UCF get a shot?

Committee/conference room official ceiling for UCF would be #5 just like the BCS ceiling for those strong Boise state teams was #3

Memphis might well put an end to the streak, especially with the QB injury.

Memphis might well put an end to the streak, especially with the QB injury. Memphis had the game won earlier this year, but the coach had a brain fart and forgot to manage the clock.

Memphis might well put an end to the streak, especially with the QB injury. Memphis had the game won earlier this year, but the coach had a brain fart and forgot to manage the clock. I remember that game... Every CFP committee member is a MEMPHIS fan this week. They won't WANT to reward UCF, if they win... but what happens when guys like Phil Steele and Dan Wetzel started tweeting just what I've said? (And, they will) IF... (and, yea... I agree... it's a BIG 'if"...) UCF defeats Memphis, the public outcry with UCF will be LOUD! OU and OSU BOTH "have issues"... They've BOTH had multiple chances in the CFP, and got DESTROYED. Why not try something different? I highly doubt the CFP committee would actually do it, this year... But they all know, If UCF does this again next year? There will be NO STOPPING them. Here's the piece that Hen doesn't understand or maybe, appreciate: It's CRITICAL that the CFP committee maintains at least the pre-text, that everything is "fair".. or else, the CFP and P5 will be liable for a MASSIVE anti-trust lawsuit that would mangle, rape, and BBQ the "golden goose". If UCF wins 33 in a row, and is passed over for an 11-2 P5 conference champ? The system will be DESTROYED in court. They desperately need this UCF win streak to come to an end.

Memphis had the game won earlier this year, but the coach had a brain fart and forgot to manage the clock. I remember that game... Every CFP committee member is a MEMPHIS fan this week. UCF beats Memphis 55-0 and still wouldn't get a sniff. Remember, non TV beauty TCU was the 3rd best team in the next to last CFP beauty contest vote and won the last game by 50 points which, of course, earned it a #5 final CFP finish. As in the constant sniveling of the White House buffoon..." It's rigged ...it's all fake "
Conspiracy theory - If ESPN truly wanted something like a UCF in its Invitational it could be lobbied into happening.

I DO remember it.. probably, better than you. TCU had a different problem: They were NOT the Big 12 Champ. That title was award to Baylor, who beat them.. head to head, in one of the MOST OBVIOUSLY poorly officiated games I ever saw. The Big 12 had TWO teams that were equal, and they elevated the WRONG one. The committee was correct to punish the Big 12 for their ineptitude. Conspiracy theory - If ESPN truly wanted something like a UCF in its Invitational it could be lobbied into happening. I actually agree with you on this... Difference is, I can actually see ESPN WANTING the "underdog" story,... for ratings.. IF... the country jumps on the UCF bandwagon. 23-0 might not be enough to make the whole country take notice.. especially with ESPN actively trying to play it down.. But, 33-0 ?? They will lose control of the narrative.
