Basically if Clemson survives the first 3 games, they've only got to worry about Florida State
2 of the first 3 are at home. They dodge, Virginia, Virginia Tech, and Miami. They only have two ranked teams on the schedule
I tend to think Syracuse might be a bit overrated too
it's possible they may not sufficently be challeneged until the ACC championship

The ACC has regressed a bit.
Hard to see Clemson not getting to the CFP.

The ACC has regressed a bit. Hard to see Clemson not getting to the CFP. The ACC needs for its name brand programs to step up and be consistent - VT, MIA, FSU.

Clemson's schedule does set up nicely for another CFP run.
FSU and BC at home. Cross rival GT at home and a road trip to UNC.
Syracuse gets a new Q, and they avoid the top 3 teams in the coastal and replace ND with Maryland.
FSU is obviously talented but coaching has been the issue. Only 1 of their 7 losses was within 3 TDs last year. That's not competitive.
NC state loses a lot on O, and 4 of their 9 wins last year were James Madison, ECU, Ga State and Marshall.
VT's defense finished 77th last year, Foster's worst.
UVA's hype is built primarily around QB Perkins, but he loses his #1 WR and RB. UVA has never won the coastal and if they don't this year. they may not get a better chance. UVA has lost 19/20 to VT, and they have road trips to MIA and PITT.
MIA is undergoing coaching and scheme changes, like GT. This is never a recipe for success, but getting both of the Virginia schools at home helps the divisional race for the Canes.
PITT loses 4 OL and 2 1,000 rushers.
UNC will be rebuilding and it won't be a 1-year turnaround. Mack will be given some time to right this ship.

Hey CPA, looking over Clemson's depth chart I see that Dabo will be starting 2 Virginia boys : DT Jordan Williams, SS K'von Wallace and the 2nd string MLB is also a Virginia boy. Your defense should be OK.
