Bought my tickets on stubhub for the BIG CCG and we had a total of 8. They were all mobile tickets and you had to use an iphone or android to get into the game. I have never been big on checking into to airplanes games... with the phone because issues can always come up with a phone and then you are SOL. Anyway I get to my gate and we have 8 people. The scanner dude scans in 6 tickets and he does one of the tickets 2 times and does not even get to the last one. Then he tells we are good to go... Seems like an easy way to sneak some people in. Anyway we got in got our seats and all was well. Still don't trust those tickets but it worked.
BTW it was a great environment. At least 80% Buckeye fans. It was actually kind of fun to see them get down with some adversity to see how they would respond.

I suspect, like last time in Phoenix, OSU fans will outnumber Clemson fans 65-35.

Got ours through another service but had similar reservations when we went to be scanned - worked fine and we had no issues. Lucas Oil is a great stadium and Indy does a wonderful job of hosting the championship game - too bad Cincinnati didn't have the foresight to build a stadium with a roof; we could get the Super Bowl, NCAA finals, Championship games etc instead of a monstrosity that sits there 350 days of the year vacant.
