Well guys the wedding went off largely without a hitch! Well there was a small hitch, as I pulled into the church at 1 pm to make sure I avoided my Wife before the wedding....I noticed the man in charge of our suits had dropped off all the suits like he said he would except mine. One hour before the wedding I was scrambling, I called the gentlemen and he thought I had already picked up my suit and it wasn't in the store. My initial thought was OH SH*T!!!! The pastor that was marrying us, is my father in law and the gentlemen whom was supposed to bring th suits attends his church so luckily he scrambled, found something very close to what we had picked out and the wedding was only delayed 20 minutes...... I never picked up the suit, one of his younger workers made a mistake and gave it to someone else, but get this......Northeast Ohio had some pretty bad snowstorms that morning and afternoon, her grandparents were going to be late for the wedding.......the small delay allowed them to be on time. other than that wedding went off without a hitch and we are currently in Florida. Thank you for the congratulations guys!!!!

Awesome, congrats, Kent!
The pastor that married in us her church was going thru an ugly divorce at the same time.
He didn't disclose to us until after the fact. He said it was one of the hardest things he had done.

I was best man at my college room mates wedding. He was from Connecticut and the wedding was in beautiful, Coshocton, Ohio. His parents were from Italy, came to US off the boat in the early 1950's. I don't think they had ever lived very far outside Connecticut. Anyway, they got lost on their way to the church for the wedding. So when 5 pm rolled around and they still weren't there, the pastor announced, 'there will be a delay until the grooms parents arrived but until then, for your listening pleasure we have Maxine on the piano!' Maxine was about 65-70 years old and without missing a beat, she broke into a stirring rendition of Carole King's 'I Feel The Earth Move Under My Feet'. My room mate wanted to just disappear. Fortunately his parents arrived before Maxine could play, 'It's Too Late'.

....the small delay allowed them to be on time. God works in mysterious ways. Glad to hear you're off to a good start! I won't give you any marriage advice other than to tell you the WORST advice we ever got. Several people told us, "Never go to bed angry.... stay up and talk it out". What a crock! That crap kept me up MANY a night. I've found, when you love someone, everyone always looks better in the morning. Sleep on it, and see if you don't feel more like compromising in the morning. Half the time, by morning we can't even remember what we were fighting about. Oh... and say, "Yes, Dear" a LOT!
