I haven't seen Forgetting Sarah Marshall but I'm sure we have it somewhere in the house lol FIND IT, and watch it. It will improve your mood. It's one of the funniest, most quotable movies ever made. Russell Brand is an IDIOT in real life, but his character in this movie is a CLASSIC! Be sure to watch the REAL movie, not an 'edited for TV' version. Russell had to have spent a few nights in the sack with Katy Perry - I mean, they were married which makes me wonder about her sanity, as well. But I think I could put up with her being a loony for a little while to have an opportunity to see what’s under those clothes...I guess that makes me a dirty old man!

Forgetting Sarah Marshall is one of a very small handful of movies that I can easily watch OVER and OVER. The requirements are: Beautiful scenery, hot women, FUNNY dialogue... and, many many many quotable lines.... It's one of the best. Right now, I'm watching another... Little Big Man. This HAS TO BE one of the BEST movies ever made that most people know nothing about. OMG, it is hilarious.. and, serious. I implore all of you: If you've never seen this movie, go to Amazon Prime and rent it. It's long... but, it is unlike any movie ever made. Dustin Hoffman, Faye Dunaway.... and more. I quote this movie 3 times a week.

I watched Little Big Man back in the early '70's when it came out - it was long but a great movie. Hoffman ages from practically a child to well over 100 - also recall Custer's last stand was a pivotal part of the plot. I've got nothing but time on my hands, I'll have to dig that one out, too.

Hoffman ages from practically a child to well over 100 - also recall Custer's last stand was a pivotal part of the plot. I've got nothing but time on my hands, I'll have to dig that one out, too. I know I've told this story before, but... The first time I saw this movie was the first year I was living in a dorm at UT. We had a great group of guys. We were all friends, having the time of our lives... Someone said, "Hey, they're showing this movie, for free, over at Jester (another nearby dorm). Let's go watch it. It's supposed to be funny". We all shoved a few extra beers in our coat pockets and headed over. We were already pretty lit, and in a good mood. The first 90 minute or so of the movie didn't disappoint. We were laughing up a storm.... and then, it happened. When it came to the time when Dustin's character was settled down on the reservation, with his 4 wives, and starting his own family... and Custer's soldiers came to 'visit'.... it just hit all of us like a ton of bricks. Reality just sort of snuck into a funny movie, from left field and hit us right in the gonads. I'm sure that was the film maker's intent. And, boy... did it work on me. Young men are full of passion. And, protecting your family is at the top of our genetic makeup. Still though, my most often quoted movie line ever, comes at the very end. When the old grandfather goes to the mountain to die, but fails to do so. He wakes up and asks, "Am I still in this world?". Hoffman replies, "Yes Grandfather". "Ugh..... I was a afraid of that" And then... my favorite line: "Sometimes the magic works, sometimes it doesn't". That's been my personal mantra every since. Sorry for the "SPOILER".... but, I think you've all seen it before anyway.
