it was a glorious afternoon. The Reds jumped out to an 11-0 lead over the hapless Pirates and wound up winning 11-4. The crowd was announced at 11,000+ but fans were dispersed throughout the stadium so it looked somewhat sparse; capacity is about 42,000. It did get pretty loud when the Reds were scoring runs and hitting homers. They sold seats in blocks of 4 and then the next 4 seats on either side were tied closed so they couldn't be used. The worst part of it was they had ushers walking around with signs saying masks must be work at all times which is pretty hard to do when you're eating hotdogs and peanuts. One usher would stick his sign in the face of anyone not wearing a mask, which I thought was a bit extreme. Hopefully this will ease in the months to come. Overall, it was great to be back at a live game and I'll definitely plan to attend more. And the Reds are off to a great start, to boot! 5-1 even if 3 of the wins were against the hapless Pirates. Going to be a long year for that team!

A glorious day at a MLB ball park..... sports can't get better or more mellow than that , imo. My Phillies have jumped out to 5-1 also with surprisingly good starting pitching.

Very nice start for the Redlegs. MLB did torque me off a bit with the Georgia election thing. I will likely watch them but probably stay away from the Stadium. Hopefully college football stays out of the political BS.
