Thanks for worrying about me, Bevo. I don't know....maybe its age (74) or disgust with the ever increasing professionalism and fraud of the sport but I do feel a declining interest. Heck, I've been more tuned in to the Baseball post season lately (which I think is great, great dramatic sport). Besides, my posts and rants don't seem to generate much response anymore... maybe a hint that I'm not a good candidate for a college aged football forum. Had a couple little health sidetracks lately ...shoulder surgery and a bout with pancreatitis but that's no excuse. Anyway. I'll be hanging around and maybe some spark will get me going.

I'm sure you'll have something to say when the CFP invites UGA, Bama, Kentucky and Ohio State! I watched every game of the Astros first series. That's more baseball than I've watched in the past 2 years. Looking forward to the Red Sox series. Even after all these years, I can't get used to the Astros playing in the AL. It's just weird. I also don't understand these new rules baseball has added. Although, I think I LOVE one of them? I guess, relief pitcher cannot just come in for 1 pitch and then be switched out? That's a GREAT rule. I hated that so so much. Glad to hear you're still clucking. Winter is coming. Gotta fatten up ! |

They should spend a little money and invest in a center fielder who can catch. That was a lazy effort, imo. He could have laid out just a bit and made that catch. Also, the game winning hit should have been scored an error on Seager, imo. Wasn't it ruled a hit ? |

Every pitch is critical in these playoffs. Love it. |
