Just a reminder guys the national champ game is today...2pm (ABC). Montana and SD State have survived a full playoff to earn this opportunity to win an NCAA Division football championship. I know most of you guys could give a crap about lower division CF but I feel obligated to mention it as my Blue Hens have played in a several of these playoffs and won a couple.

Would it not make sense to play this either on Saturday, or as a game before the FBS Championship on Monday?

Offhand , it would make more sense to me ....either scenario. Maybe someone should research the reason by ABC & NCAA

Offhand , it would make more sense to me ....either scenario. Maybe someone should research the reason by ABC & NCAA NCAA has nothing to do with it. I don’t know why people think the NCAA decides this stuff and blames them for it? Although it’s a quote about last years scheduling, I imagine the same applies this year: "If the game was on Saturday, you would go against the NFL. FCS games go long and we start pregame coverage for the NFL at 2:30 central time on ESPN and ABC. We would be scheduling ourselves into a nightmare." - ESPN's Senior Director of Programming and Acquisitions, Dan Margulis, who programs and schedules all the games. www.inforum.com/sports/bison-media-zone/mens-sports/why-is-the-fcs-championship-game-on-a-sunday-because-abc-wanted-it-to-beFor ESPN/ABC: Friday is NBA. Saturday is NFL pregame. Monday is CFP pregame. Sunday they aren’t competing with themselves.

The NCAA, who supposedly RUNS the post-season tournament, could easily have scheduled the game at 12, or 1 EST and told ESPN when it was going to be. Playing on Sunday, when EVERY NFL team is playing is sheer idiocy. It's like, they don't even care about ratings. THIS, is why the NCAA cannot be trusted to run the top level of NCAA football. Thanks, for contributing NOTHING... once again.. to the discussion.

How is this bullshit, or contributing nothing? You’ve really lost it, haven’t you?

But, thanks for trying.

There was no conflict with the NFL on Saturday. A bullshit quote from LAST year, adds nothing to the discussion. But, thanks for trying. The schedule last year is the exact same as this year, so I imagine the logic is the same. The ESPN/ABC NFL double header on Saturday, with FCS Championship on Sunday. ESPN, per the quote, didn’t want to compete with itself. The FCS championship would overrun with the NFL pregame. I give you the reason with a link to a video of the guy telling you why. You’ve clearly lost it.
