Ohio State is primed for a huge run at a championship
They return an absolutely loaded defense. 9 starters return, and its a totally senior-laden defense.
Plus Michigan has lossed their coach, and is set to take a step back this year.
With the new playoff format, all Ohio State has to do is win the Big 10 and get a first round bye. This should be easily accomplished.

Your last line says it all. They had 6-7 players who would have been drafted who decided to come back to chase the championship - they added two All SEC players - one from Mississippi and one from Alabama, plus Alabama's center. If this was Texas Hold'em - the Buckeyes would be ALL IN! The key is QB, who starts? But the QB will be surrounded by so much offensive fire power it would be nearly impossible for him to fail. The odds on favorite is Wil Howard who had similar stats to Ohio State's QB last year, Kyle McCord, but Howard wasn't throwing to Marvin Harrison Jr, Emeka Egbuka and Carnell Tate. So it really is NC or bust. I actually bought a season ticket for this season but I'll be in Singapore the first two games - cant wait!! |
