What I like about Gene Hackman is he is an actor. He will act in almost anything, whether he's the star or just supporting. He wants to act and he is very good at his craft. I mean, how many actors win the Academy Award for best actor in the French Connection and follow it up as the blind man in Young Frankenstein.

According to a report on the Athletic, the ACC is going to add SMU, Cal and Stanford. It looks complicated but does raise revenue some. I guess it's the All Coasts Conference now.

One of the problems with NIL, I see, is that while Caleb Williams is gonna make $2.6 million, how much will his offensive line make? This could make for some jealous locker rooms and arguments among players. Try to win the Heisman with us not blocking. And while NFL O linemen don't make the same as the star QB, they do make a good living

North Carolina. The Tar Heels have a history of not meeting expectations when they are high in the preseason. The Heels are ranked in the preseason top 25, darkhorses to win the ACC, potential Hiesman winner. History has shown that the Heels will have a mediocre season.

If I remember correctly, I saw somewhere that if the ACC added at least 2 teams, their contract and payout with ESPN could be revised. If that is true, then the ACC could get higher payouts from the network, if they have the money. And with higher payouts, toward the SEC/Big 10 realm, no need for anyone to leave. This could be a good thing. Keeps the ACC viable. But, does ESPN/ABC have the extra cash.

As far as UNC goes, they, along with NC State, were part of "the Seven" that tried end the GOR. Carolina does have a superior feel for themselves, but are also realists. IMHO, they would like to keep the ACC going and increase the revenue somehow. This would keep together their rivalries intact and keep the fan base and alums happy with that. I think most fans, of ALL schools, ain't happy with the loss of rivals and geographic expansion of the conferences. Carolina admin, though, will jump ship to either the SEC or Big Ten if that is the best option for them.
