If your favorite guy doesn't win it is flawed.
Same as presidential election.

I compare the Heisman to the 'flavor of the month'. You start out with a guy (Fournette) and ride him until he has a bad game then you jump on the bandwagon of another guy until he stubs his toe. Then, there's always the guy that gets a ton of attention at the end of the year who doesn't necessarily come out of nowhere but everyone asks, what about him (McCaffery)? You could have picked any of a handful of guys and you could have justified the pick. I think the key is you don't want to be the early pacesetter, you want to take the 'lead' in early November and ride it out to the finish.

If your favorite guy doesn't win it is flawed. Same as presidential election. Got no dog in this fight. Just noticed that Henry was no different than the previous Alabama RB's--just got more carrys. And that in the current era a west coast guy doesn't have a chance with all the hype CBS/ESPN are pumping into the SEC.

Or perhaps we should realize that the Heisman is just another media award and we should't take it too seriously. Congrats to Henry, best of luck to everyone else. Very true. I've never taken this award seriously since they snubbed Peyton. That one, and then Smith over DMac in '06...

A West Coast guy WON... just LAST year. Sorry... that dog just won't hunt.

It might hunt a little - Bama's had what, 5 finalists in recent years?
Just sayin...

They've also had one of the top 5 teams consistently, in the past 5 years. Maybe, it's not all just SEC hype.

This makes two Heismans for Bama players. Clearly, there is a Bama bias.

Very true. I've never taken this award seriously since they snubbed Peyton. That one, and then Smith over DMac in '06... Well Smith received over 90% of the first place votes and had a remarkable year for a team that went to the national championship and went 12-0 during the regular season. I think there may be a better example of an 'injustice' in Heisman voting - how about whoever Gino Toretta, Chris Wenke or Eric Couch beat? BTW - Troy Smith voted for Watson!

I thought the field was loaded with RBs this year, so it was hard to distinguish....
I had Deshaun Watson and Henry neck and neck, but I think Henry played better in his championship game
Fournette and Dalvin Cook look to be up there next year
