Everyone knows that Bama ONLY plays cupcakes, in Alabama... I mean, Hen has told us that for years. There must be a glitch in the Matrix because, the Tide is heading west to Austin, to play the Longhorns on September 10. I guess there's no way to overstate how important this game will be to the Longhorn faithful, who are busy whipping themselves into a frenzy about how AWESOME we're going to be this year. The last time we played Bama, they wrecked our program for more than a decade. The last game was close. A real butt-whipping in September might convince the Admin to suspend the football program.  But, I'm not afraid. I'm willing to CHALLENGE Hero to a wager. Straight up. NO STINKING POINTS. For a bowl of the world's best chili at Casa Manana!!! Are you Scared? If you are, say you are!  Are you game, Hero? FYI>> For the record, I think I'm 0-7 in chili bets with Hero. |

Texas doesn't just "want Bama".... we NEED Bama. You can't really be considered 'back', until you start beating the best. I'll double-down on the chili bet by adding a bowl a queso as well! I want the full meal from you when I get to Lake Charles.  |

While I generally don't think Texas has a chance, there is that one law in college football, handed down by the College Football Gods, that goes as follows: no matter who you are, each school has that one team they struggle against Texas, like hen has said many times, has historically dominated this series, and even fought hard when their star QB went out in the national championship game In fact, the 2009 championship game is the ONLY time Alabama has beat Texas. www.winsipedia.com/games/texas/vs/alabamaI generally think Alabama is set up well for a championship run with a returning Heisman QB, ...but....it is a road game. Last year, for week 3, Alabama struggled to barely beat a mediocre Florida team, 31-29 I've got Alabama, but who knows...crazy upsets do happen in college football |
