Biden and Trump are both corrupt. Going to be hard to find a politician who isn't. Don't put your faith or trust in any politician or worldly leader. All are flawed and will leave you disappointed. They will let you down. Put your faith in Jesus and you will not be disappointed. And you will find yourself not stressing over this nonsense anymore. Romans 3:10 There is no righteous person. Not even one. “There is none beside me. I am the Lord, and there is none else. I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the Lord do all these things” (Isaiah 45:6–7, KJV 1900).
God created all this corruption and evil, any sane person would be disappointed in His work.
If you truly have an open heart and are seeking truth, then I encourage you to study the context of that passage in Isaiah, prophesying about King Cyrus (amazingly, before he was even born.) And the actual Hebrew translation. Evil in that passage is not a moral evil. The Hebrew word "Ra" also refers to that which causes harm or an event resulting in great loss...hardship or distress. The older King James translation uses "evil" but most other translations use words like Calamity, Disaster, Woe, Bad Times, Troubles, etc in that verse...not the word evil. It could also refer to something "bad" that happens to someone even if it is deserved. For example if someone commits a crime and goes to jail, going to jail is certainly a time of trouble / distress for that person but it isn't morally evil to send them to jail as a punishment. Then in the context of the passage, King Cyrus would follow pagan false gods but the one true God is saying that He (God) will still use Him to accomplish His plan...it won't be his pagan false gods. He will use Cyrus to bring the Israelites back out of captivity and even rebuild their temple. He is still sovereign over everything, even bad rulers. He allowed Israel to be in captivity (both to Egypt and again to Babylon) - ruled over by evil leadership...because they turned away from God after all that God had done for them...then graciously saved them and brought them out. Those who do not know the heart of God might think that God is mean for allowing His people to be in captivity at all. Those who do would see the big picture - that God was ultimately doing good and trying to spiritually save them. A parent might be called "mean" by their young child for not allowing them to play in the street. The parent knows that is dangerous and a car could hit the child and is ultimately trying to protect the child. If the child then still decides to play in the street when the parent turns their back, the parent would probably discipline the child for disobeying. The child might perceive the correction as mean, but ultimately the parent is doing it for their long-term good. Romans 10:11-13 For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes in Him will not be disappointed.” For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, abounding in riches for all who call on Him; for “Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

Congrats to LSU! Not getting the game winning run home from 2nd in the bottom of the 9th and bottom of the 10th in Game 1 will always haunt the Gators. Now just 1-3 in championship finals...

I've noticed no one ever volunteers to vacate wins that occur during a national championship season

Florida vs LSU is a rematch of the 2017 Championship series, when the Gators won their first ever NCAA Championship.
Apparently we now get to the final series once every six years:
2005 lost to Texas (0-2) 2011 lost to South Carolina (0-2) 2017 beat LSU (2-0) 2023 vs LSU (?)

I assumed it was B10 and SEC once they expand but then again it is EV term. Yes that's what it means Not my term though, it's what's being used in expansion circles; people think there are just 2 major conferences now Like the nfc and afc...

If every conference agreed to play 9 conference games + 1 OOC game against another P5 opponent = 10 total, I think that's as good as we can hope for. That gives most teams 5 home / 5 away and then two more games to schedule their home cupcakes so that they can still have their 7 total home games. But all power teams agreeing to only play each other would be even better. Especially now that we have a larger playoff which means more margin for error if you lose a game or two. We are going to see 9-3 teams who played good schedules make the CFP.

Arizona State in the SEC? NO WAY. Unlike the Big Ten, the SEC seems interested in actually staying in a geographic region (the southeastern quadrant of the country) with all of the schools sharing a border with another SEC school. PAC schools are not part of the plan. You are however correct that ACC schools may be, particularly the exact four you mentioned. I think if the SEC ultimately adds FSU, Clemson, one from NC, and one from VA they would be good to go at 20 for the long haul.

Sad times for the PAC. They have only themselves to blame.

is it worth it for Miami volleyball to fly to Eugene twice a year? This is why in the future, don't be surprised if there are just one or two mega conferences for football only...then the smaller regional conferences for all other sports. Making teams fly across the country for a big juicy TV matchup makes sense for football...not so much in other sports that do not produce significant revenue.

If staying at eight games, ditching divisions was the right move. With divisions, we were only playing most western division teams once every six years. Without divisions, it will be a 1-7-7 schedule (one permanent rotating 7 of the other 14 opponents) so that EVERY TEAM PLAYS EVERY OTHER TEAM AT LEAST TWICE EVERY FOUR YEARS (home and home.)
So for example Florida gets to play Auburn, Alabama, and Texas A&M just as often as Kentucky, Missouri, and Vanderbilt...all of them twice every four years. Whereas they currently barely ever play the first three and play the other three every single season which was boring and stale. So this is an improvement with much better variety.
They can accomplish the same thing by playing a nine-game schedule using a 3-6-6 model (three permanents then rotating 6 of the other 12 opponents) and play everyone twice every four years. This is the model they will eventually end up with, most likely for 2025. The eight team schedule was only announced for one more season (2024) and most likely for the following reasons:
1) Before they just give away more juicy SEC matchups in a nine-game schedule, they want ESPN to agree to pay them more money. Going from 8 to 9 games and with the addition of Texas and Oklahoma, will ESPN agree or will they play hardball given current market conditions? Time will tell.
2) Many teams already had signed OOC matchups based on the assumption of an eight-game SEC schedule. For example Florida in 2023 plays Utah and FSU + 8 SEC games = 10 games vs P5 competition. In 2024 they are scheduled to play FSU, Miami, and UCF + 8 SEC games = 11 games vs P5's. For the next 10 years they are playing at least two P5 OOC games, sometimes three. Going to a nine-game schedule will lead to some teams feeling the need to cancel and pay buyouts for some OOC agreements for a variety of business-related reasons.
Agree that it would be nice if everyone agreed to play the same # of P5 games. Whether that be all 12 or 11 or 10 minimum. I would like to see each conference play 9 conference games + 3 P5 games = 12 game season but then ditch all conference championship games so that they can go directly into the first round of playoffs that first Saturday in December.

Need to stop the expansion crap in favor of contraction back to 10-team conferences, IMO. too late now
the cats out of the bag, can't put the toothpaste back in the tube
Yes, 9 or 10 team leagues where everyone could play a round robin were perfect. Even a 12 team league with a CCG was fine. More than 12 teams...sucks.
