Thanks again for the Championship Division stuff, cjh......and the Exhibition Division stuff too, I guess. I found three sites that do FCS Bracketology. 7 of my 8 top seeds were given a bye by one of these sites. 21 of 24 teams were selected for the playoffs and the remaining three were among the first 8 out.

Its going to be a great FCS championship ! Get Delaware out of there ...that offense isn't a whole lot better than Florida's. Collegesportsmadness is one site that does FCS bracketology. I match them on 8 of 8 byes and 23 of 24 playoff teams and 4 of first 5 out.

I like it and don't have an issue with rematches. Personally, I wish the other leagues would drop divisions match their top two. "top two " based on what " ? Conference records

LOL I must not understand the system. How does PSU move to the top with a LOSS?? Their previous opponents had a big week. However, PSU's loss is still huge as #3 through #7 control their destiny towards getting a 13th game. If PSU wins out, they would still need help to finish in the top 4.

CJ, thanks for the FCS rankings and projections for the 'real' NCAA D1 championship playoff !! I can't imagine the Hens getting an AL but at 5-2 now with our only losses to VT and JMU just maybe our long steady decline has finally bottomed out. Been awhile since I took the time to do the FCS. Thought it would be interesting to see how the playoff race would go if my system were used.

I can't remember the last time I looked at a Coach's or AP poll? Truly. Hate to spill my secrets, but... I will, since it doens't seem to be working this year anyway. When I pick teams, I look at WHO each team has actually PLAYED in their previous 5 games. I never... repeat, NEVER look at any poll to help pick a winner. I do occasionally look at CJ's rankings. It's not a 'poll', it's an actual ranking that has some meaning. I'm actually a little worried about CJ. He hasn't updated his ranking this week? objectiverules.blogspot.com.br/I looked at the AP once this season, this morning to figure out what someone here was talking about. Updated now.

cj: "That said, I think it would be impossible to adopt a objective system with a clearly built in bias. Rules that clearly favor teams based on their identity would be self-evident." FHF: Do you realize that you just contradicted yourself from one sentence to the next? It is simple to develop an 'objective system' that is totally biased. In fact, that is exactly what the BCS required of the various computer ratings services. The P5 conferences don't care a whit if the obvious bias is exposed. 1984 BYU would not have been in the running if the BCS or CFP had existed at the time. Yes, it is easy to create one but if, for example, I suggested mine with the added feature that P5 teams get a 10 point head start, they would never get away with implementing it. However, subjectivity basically always allows them to keep moving the goalposts for G5 and claim they need to do more without ever defining "more" or making "more" attainable.
