The only game I was into was the one on Saturday night from the innings 7 through 9. That is only because my buddies wanted to watch it. That being said that was pretty entertaining but I am with you the game has changed and it moves sooooo slooooowwwwww. When they have the defensive shift, can't these guys figure out how to go the other way? After watching 22 straight scoreless innings with the Reds in the playoffs I pretty much checked out. Yep we did the baseball at the park from sun up to sun down. Right Field closed, pitchers hand... We would make up games like fast pitch tennis ball, set up lights at night and use nerf balls with lawn chairs as the strike zone... whatever it took. Then when I got into soccer in my high school years it was 3 hours in the afternoon with 2 shirts as the goals. My son quit baseball in the 6th grade and it was organized sports from that point forward.

If I can convince my wife into a football saturday fiesta Noon With Kids afiliation to WVU and UC this helps kick off the noon hour. I think the UGA UK game will be interesting. UK put it to UT. We will see which team shows up. Center K State vs WVU Side Stages ttun vs MSU, Memphis vs UC Alternative UGA vs UK
3:30 I think Nebraska is much improved and Wiscy is on QB 3 or 4. ND is up and down. Was last week the real ND? My money is on Texas in the otherOSU game. Center Wiscy vs Neb Side Stages ND vs GT, Texas vs otherOSU Alternative Indiana Rutgers
7:30 statePenn may have been caught looking ahead and just gave the Indiana game away. Center OSU vs statePEnn Side Stages Arky vs aTm, Bama vs MSU Alternative Mizzou vs Florida
Quite honestly not a bad slate for me at least.

I think when it comes to rankings you just need to put who you think is the best based on how they played and who they played reagardless of the game count.
1) Clemson - They struggled for a bit against the Cuse but sailed in the fourth quarter 2) Ohio State - Fairly dominating performance in the second half. There was not a clear dominance in the line play and the defense is young and still needs some work. 3) Alabama - Another nice dominating performance but losing there all everything wide out hurts. Gap The top 3 teams are so close that they can easily be swapped given how they perform. 4) Notre Dame actually stepped up their game after a lackluster performance against Louisville. 5) Wisconsin will be tough for anyone in the Big 10. A big matchup with Nebraska looms as they will be without their QB 6) Okie State beat a ranked Iowa St team although the sunbelt loss by ISU taints this one.

Highlights: Just getting the BIG back in action was enough for me. From the games that I saw, watching Tom Allen finally break through and get a big win for Indiana. He was an interim coach who took over when Kevin Wilson got canned for abuse charges. I always like Allen because of his great attitude and love for life approach everytime I saw him or heard him speak. I fully expected IU to go outside and find another coach but they stuck with Allen and they have gotten better every year. This is a guy that everyone can root for an now he has a team that clearly has upped its level with an opportunity to move into the upper echelon of the East Divsion.
LowLights: Watching the Ohio State Nebraska gmae spend about a half hour of the broadcast watching the referees determine if a hit was targeting or not. Not sure how many times Nebraska was called but they had at least 2 ejections in the second half. Now in Nebraska's most important game of the year, they will be missing these players for the first half. When watching each one of these plays there was clearly no intention to lead with your helmet or an effort to violently injure a player. This rule needs to be changed. How about Targeting 1 and Targeting 2. Maybe have the referee's take a targeting call class so that at least they can be somewhat consistent on how the call is applied. I am still stinging from the playoff as that call had a huge impact on the Ohio State Clemson Game.
Fail: Back to the Penn St game. This game should give him nightmares for the rest of his life. All they need to do is take a knee and then when there running back runs it up the gut and score a touchdown, it opened a tiny window for Indiana and they hit paydirt. Watching he running back cross the goal line then take a step back??? Makes you wonder that maybe he know he should have taken the dive but have the touchdown on the stat line looks much better.

Picking the top 3 is a no brainer at this point. Picking the 4th spot is the challege. At this point aTm has to be the front runner. The got the 2 biggest games out of the way and should be favored the rest of the season. I don't see Okie St running the table. The way ND played last week I would expect minimum of 2 losses if they are luck. Only undefeated team that I can see making it through the P12 is Oregon and that may not be enough.

I think the gaps are most accurate. Based on what I have seen with BAMA and Clemson and what tOSU brings back there is a clear separation at the moment. Once we get a few games under our belts things may change but I think it is highly doubtful.

Pretty clear separation between the top 3 and the wannabees.
1 Clemson - No flaws just dominance 2 Ohio State - Locked and loaded and ready to go
3 Alabama - Defense has shown some chinks but when they chips are down they can clearly step it up.
Gap
Gap Gap Gap 4 Okie St - Undeafeated and WVU win is looking better
5 BYU - Has looked very good so far but vs lesser opponents. They can only go down from here with the schedule they have in place
6 TAM Lost to BAMA and clearly the best win of the 1 loss teams.
ACC - Separation expands. The 2 best bets to compete with Clemson were ND who barely scraped by Louisville who is winless in the ACC. Then UNC loses to FSU who may have the worst team they have fielded since the 80's. VT may be the next team up to compete but as far as I can see this league is a done deal.
SEC - Alabama showed what they can do when they are prepared and motivated. The Ole Miss game shows that they can clearly lose focus. It will be interesting to see how they do as this season has only 1 bye week and no gimme games. Current forecast is that they run t he table and at most one other SEC will have 2 losses. The rest will have 3 or more.
BIG12 - Only hope left is Okie State and when I saw the WVU game they were less than impressive. Hubbard is a decent back but has not shown any signs of greatness. Unless Okie State runs the table, the BIG 12 is out this year.
BIG - Finally they are back. This is Ohio States to lose. Probably the biggest threat is Penn St. Minnesota looks to be a team on the rise. First game is Minnie vs ttun. This should tell us a lot.
PAC10 - Oregon??? USC??? not sure what else they got but running the table is essential.
G5 - BYU shedule is going to hur them. This week you have SMU and Cinti. Winner of the game is king of the least for the moment.

I am most worried about PSU as I am sure it will be a night game and somehow they will be able to pack the place. I do fully expect the Buckeyes to handle the schedule without a blemish. The West on the otherhand is wide open. Teams like Illinois seem to be getting better are catching up with the teams at the top.
Update 214 Hours 48 minutes till kickoff.

We are officially at 262 Hours 10 minutes to kickoff to be exact. Will be up on Lake Erie at Lakeside for the weekend. Great Friends, Great Food and finally Great Football!!! Really looking forward to seeing how Hartline (and Fields) utelizes all those receivers! None of the receivers are in their senior year but I suspect CO-2 will most likely head to the NFL after this season if he has the kind of year I'm expecting him to have. But the talent they have and the recruiting class they have coming in next year is absolutely ridiculous. Scouts has recruiting at #1 which does not include 2 top 10 that are 90% leaning tOSU. The future looks bright...

Also you can only spike the ball immediately after the snap takes place. Since he fumbled the snap it should have been at a minimum intentional grounding.

The AJ TAKE 1 Clemson (Even if they don't bring their A game they will still win out) 2 Ohio State (Buckeyes offense will be better than Bama and noway there defense is worse than what BAMA put up this weekends) 3 Alabama (Bama's defense has holes now Saban is whining about cheating) 4 UGA (Looks CFP Calaber - Got a feeling that they will have the same fate is Miami this weekend) 5 ND (Still not sold on ND especially with FSU keeping it close - Got a feeling the next 2 weeks will be tough) 6 UNC (Giving up a lot of points but they dodge Clemson and ND is later on so they may stick around awhile)
B12 - With the Big 2 now soundly at the bottom of the pack they have the other OSU as there only hope. When I saw them against WVU they certainly did not raise any eyebrows. SEC - 3 Weeks in and only 2 undefeated teams soon the be 1 in week 4 when UGA goes down. ACC - Separation from Clemson and the pack is getting bigger.
