I've seen proposals for a new 80 team "Super League". Not sure if it is the game's salvation or another way to destroy it. It does put the P-5 teams in 7 10 team conferences link more to geography and rivals, but still have the "qualify" conference made up of various G-5 teams, with no detail on the other teams. It's does spread the money evenly, which means the SEC and Big 10 won't bite. What are you guys thoughts?

Yes, we should quit picking on Sankey, the SEC, ESPN and the committee. If we don't they may cry. And the committee are "volunteers". Yeah, "volunteers" who stay in a nice hotel FREE, free meals, free flight and probably get a nice stipend for being there.

Let's use the SEC excuse always used by the SEC supporters (ESPN) when an SEC team loses in one of the big bowl games.
They didn't care about the game. They wanted to be in the playoff. That's why they lost, they were not into the game.

One of my thoughts on expansion was back when the ACC was a 9 team conference. I thought they should have gone and added S. Carolina, Va. Tech and W. Va. to make a nice compact 12 team conference. A good north/south divisions and good natural rivals.

App State won the Cure Bowl in an Orlando monsoon. Defeated Miami of Ohio in a very sloppy game. But ASU now has a 7-1 record in bowl games

In the 17 year span you stated, the ACC has had 2 different teams to win Clemson (2016, 2018) and Florida State (2013)

I do know one thing that is going to, or more correctly, not going to happen in 2024. College Game Day will not go to Tallahasee

Yes, Texas A&M had the highest recruiting class in 22 and Appalachian beat them at home. Auburn lost badly to N. Mexico St. (at home) and nearly beat the SEC champ. UGA barely beat Ga. Tech. And everybody is scared to play Vandy
And that is what makes them tough? Recruits? NFL players? Not results on the field? SEC had a losing record to P5 schools this year and to the ACC. And as for the 13 title, the majority have been by Alabama. 1 school.

The SEC is not that dominant. It is a conference of 2 super teams and the rest are either good or bad. Either Alabama or Georgia is going to win the SEC. Every now and then an LSU may show up, but the other SEC teams are always losing to the top 2. But since ESPN owns the SEC and the CFP, they will make sure an SEC team, or 2 will be in the CFP

ESPN's fingerprints are all over the murder weapon. ESPN controls FBS football, especially the SEC and CFP committee. I know there are those who say the committee is independent, but who is showing all the games. Who is paying MILLIONS to these games. If I'm paying for it, I get my way. BTW, SEC Shorts shows it very funny.
