I say all sportsmen and hunters that can pass a vigorous background and intelligence test may have a shotgun and a rifle with a 4 round capacity each and qualify to buy their ammo from the regional ATF facility...the only allowable source. Only law officers have hand guns or semi-automatic long guns. Now if all gun owners actually belonged to a legitimate 'well regulated local militia' the restrictions could be relaxed a bit. So when you coming down I-81, cpa, to buy a bunch of guns from me ? Intelligence test? Hen, the ACLU and liberals would be all over you for merely suggesting such "obviously racist" condition. They would accuse you of trying to suppress gun ownership rights (imagine that), among many other things.
What happens when one of those approved sportsmen or hunters goes off the deep-end one day and takes that rifle and shotgun to a mall and opens fire on shoppers, reloading 4 rounds at a time, until police arrive and kill him?
I can't buy a bunch of guns from you, unless you have recently gotten your FFL. New changes in the law, you can no longer sell a bunch of guns without being licensed. A one-off sale is OK, otherwise, you may be deemed a firearms dealer and subject to the laws and regulations thereof...
I will come down 81 for a cold beer and to hear you play that fiddle and maybe cast a line in the creek...

Ha..... can't sell you any guns. I'm relieved to hear that such sales never happen around here. Remember, this is SW Virginia where people peddle guns as commonly as people sell apples and corn at a farmers market. I can make all 3 of those things happen, cpa, plus it would be fun to zero in a rifle or two which I haven't done in 30 years.
Bring on the ACLU and liberals !... I stand by my beliefs that a bare minimum intelligence standard should be required to own guns/ammo, drive cars and receive athletic scholarships to NCAA institutions..... and lots of other things, because almost all of our problems today and throughout history can be attributed to the dumbth factor.

Can we add having babies and voting to the list? That said, this will make us all racist, misogynistic, homophobic and a bunch of other labels liberals love so much.

Yes, Hero. Let's most definitely add some minimum intelligence , educational and citizenship standard for voting. I won't touch the baby thing but the voting system needs tweaking for sure. If everybody is allowed to vote then we need a graded value system as all votes should not count the same.

The dumbth factor is definitely a common denominator for the baby problem and the voter problem.
