If this game is anything like the Rose Bowl, this may be the most exciting playoff yet!

I couldn't draw up a worse first half.
Amazing that they are only down 7.
Bryant got a knee to the back of the helmet when on the ground. Etienne gets hit with crown on the opening kick. No targeting called.
Bama spots very favorable, missed PI's, questionable infraction calls.
Pac-12 refs are suspect and not good at their jobs.

Note to self: Don't make Nick Saban mad!

Clemson's D held serve, but the offense couldn't get anything going.
D held Bama to 4 YPP.
Situational penalties were a contributing factor. My Penn St neighbor texted and said, "you know I don't pull for Clemson or Bama, but you guys are getting hosed by the zebras tonite."
Same with my Longhorn neighbor.

I didn't watch after halftime but when I went to bed I was fairly confident that Alabama was going to win. Refs don't make 18 point differences in football games. You have to score more than 2 FG's to win. Set's up an all SEC final which really doesn't excite. I do have an Alabama and Georgia cap so maybe I'll do like the recruits do, put both hats on a table and call a press conference to let everyone know who i'm rooting for!

Zebra's were harder on Auburn, IMO, than to Clemson. Auburn's gotten a pretty good screwing this year (and in past years). Have to feel for a LITTLE bad for them. They beat Georgia AND Bama during the season, and what was their reward? A re-match with Georgia and a bowl game against maybe the best G5 team since 1999 Marshall. I'm sure AuFan and I would finally agree on something... if he were still around.

This was a blatant non-call, would have been a TD. The announcers droned on about "great coverage". "great coverage" = DPI Higgins also landed awkwardly after getting pulled down and would miss the rest of the game with his ankle in a boot. Still not as bad as this one: And the blatant offensive PI / holding on the big guy TD. Even Blackledge said, "you gotta call that" That's 14 points right there. On a positive note, these 2 have battled each other for 3 years now: Respect and sportsmanship!

As I said back in December when everyone said you can't lose by 30 points and make the playoffs, well Georgia lost by over 30 points but they got a bogey and got to play Auburn in Atlanta. Now they get to play Alabama in Atlanta. I never thought Auburn was top 5 - their games with Georgia and Bama were perfectly scheduled and at home where they are tough to beat. Funny how Auburn played such a vital role in all this - they beat Georgia and Bama, their loss to Clemson helped the Tigers resume and then the go and lose to UCF in the bowl game.

The youth on the Clemson offense showed up. Deshaun Watson, Mike Williams, and Wayne Gallman were missed

Absolutely anytime an entire game is played without one Holding call either way.... the refs didn’t do their jobs. It wouldn’t have made that much of a difference, but holding needs to matter.
It’s starting to become a problem…..it's why Mark Richt got flagged for UC in the Orange Bowl. Whisky was doing some major holding and it was not being called. Richt finally boiled over.

well Georgia lost by over 30 points but they got a bogey Need to check your math, Doc. Georgia lost by 23, on the road, to the 7th ranked team. Not by 31 to an unranked team. PLUS, it was Georgia's ONLY loss... they didn't get blown out, at home, in their season opener.
