1. LSU - defeated cowbell nation 2. Ohio State - shows no weakness; destroyed Northwestern 3. Alabama - took down Tennessee...Tua injury is concerning 4. Clemson - beat a weak Louisville team on the road ===================== 5. Oklahoma - Hurts had another amazing game 6. Penn State - ended all Wolverine hopes for the season (7. Baylor???) ((8. Oregon? ?)) Heisman watch: Burrows looks so sharp at times, he looks NFL-esque The biggest news was the Wisconsin upset. Oregon was pretty impressive in going to Husky Stadium and coming out with a win Boise State lost late last night, and SMU keeps rolling Playoff outlookI think Clemson is a lock for the playoffs The Bama-LSU winner will get in, and the loser will be knocking at the door. I think Oklahoma and Ohio State have a lot of games to make it through left. Penn State is emerging as a contender Oregon is rising Notre Dame is lurking in the shadows Michigan is officially eliminated

Surging Missouri loses to hapless Vandy. Missouri was getting lots of love in recent weeks. Gone and forgotten.
Washington, every year I think thre Dawgs will get better and every year they prove me wrong.
BH proves the old theory “don’t bet more than you can afford to lose” again. Sorry BH.

Clemson crushed the resurgent Cards, despite stepping on its own pecker most of the first quarter.
Clemson had gone 29 FBS games not allowing a 100-yard rusher, until yesterday...The Tigers 3rd string gave up 99 rushing yards to Haskins in the 4th quarter.
Clemson's D held both Ville QBs to 4/11 performances - 6 sacks and 10.5 TFL. This D is already statistically ahead of last year's D.
Florida got some questionable assistance from the zebras...Bama got some home cookin' as well. Bama's back 7 has issues.
FSU looked bad late.
Penn State handled *ichigan early, but had to hold on.
Also watched some BYU - Boise and Ore-Was.
I think i'd have OSU/LSU in a tie for first at this point.

Not into 'rankings' but my eyeballs are most impressed with Oklahoma, LSU and Ohio State, so far

Worst case scenario for ANY team that had one loss: Bama loses a close game to LSU, without Tua. Then, goes on to win the SEC. Afterwards, Tua comes back and Bama rolls over everyone else. Bama would get voted in over ANY other 1-loss team, probably even conference Champs. Oh boy. Ever since Tiger posted that list of 4/5 star recruits by team, I've thought Wisconsin was not in the same class as OSU, Bama or Clemson. They were playing over their skis. I don't know, but.. I'd guess they've had a couple of key injuries, and their lack of depth hurt them. Tiger, you're being nice: Florida was GIFTED That game over South Carolina by some of the weakest penalties you'll ever see... as weak at the PF call that help Bama immensely. Texas cannot stop anyone... period. They made Punta Williams look like Gayle Sayers. We reek.... But, we won.

I would be VERY SUPRISED if Tua is back before December. Depending on the severity of the sprain, many times its actually better to break the ankle because it will heal faster.....many Banner fans might be hoping and praying but High Ankle Sprains usually heal at their own pace......and I know Saban was hopeful for a couple weeks, but the last thing you want to do is rush Tua back and have him reinjure the ankle. Usually most high ankle sprains take anywhere from 6-10 weeks to heal. I could see Saban decieving teams and making them think Tua could play, but if its a severe high ankle he wont be back soon

And I know Nick said a "A week or two" but he they hadnt even done an MRI yet to figure out how bad the sprain was before he said that. You hope for the kids sake Nick was rush him back so that he re'injures the ankle again. Most high ankles sprains start with a minimum of 4 weeks to heal the average is 6-10. Really depends on how quickly Tua's body heals.

Three years ago, Clemson was 7-0 and everyone was wondering what was wrong with Deshaun Watson. He had eight interceptions, including a pick-6 right into the chest of an N.C. State defender in that crazy escape of the Pack in the 7th game. Just saying.
Clemson won its 2014, 2015 and 2016 games against Louisville by a total of 15 points. It's won the last three by 122.
