yes.. really. NO ONE was going to beat Vince Young in 2005. He was Superman, in an orange cape. And, the REST of the team was pretty darn good too.

so are they going to play this out over the next few weeks? what an amazing collection of teams
FSU seems kind of underrepresented
FSU 1997 should definitely be on the list, and probably FSU 1996 as well

The '96 and '98 Ohio State teams both finished #2 in the country and there's no doubt in my mind they were the best team in '98. The 2014 was probably the best Ohio State team on the list talent wise but the 2002 wasn't far behind. In 2014 they had a freshman QB making his second start when they lost to VT - by the end of the season the game had slowed down and he wound up all Big Ten - then he broke his leg.
The 2002 team went 14-0, broke Miami's 34 game winning streak and every starter (plus another 20 or so) wound up on an NFL roster. That team doesn't get the credit they deserve. They won with defense and field position. Easily the greatest Ohio State season I've ever experienced.

Just imagine how a playoff would have changed results for the past 20 years
I'd put 1997 FSU up against Michigan '97 AND Nebraska '97.
1994 Penn State was totally ripped off as well

Down to the Elite 8: /photo/1 that tourney has been hijacked by Nebraska fans. I know Nebraska had some good teams in the 90s, but cmon...there have been some REALLY GOOD teams since Nebraska's run

Hard to take this seriously when 4 of the top 8 are Nebraska teams and no Alabama teams are in the final 8 (or an LSU team that just had one of the greatest seasons in college football history). I guess al Nebraska fans can do these days is revel in those glory days from years gone by - similar to Michigan fans who still brag about that great run from 1895-1910...
