This could not happen in the Cartel's post season football mythical championship...something that 'sounds' like MTSU would never ever be permitted to compete for a championship. Michigan State 'sounds' OK so it's eligible to compete.

But those Utah and Boise St teams were absolutely not permitted to compete for the BCS championship...my point. #3 would have been their absolute allowable ceiling ranking in the BCS system just as #5 would be the ceiling for any G5 in this CFP arrangement. As flawed and bloated as the NCAA hoops championship is there is still an opportunity for all of D1.

Football doesnt have enough time to give all these little teams "a shot". Football has to GET TO It, with the teams that really deserve a chance.

Lol.
Ignorance is bliss. "Little teams" have won numerous NCAA D-I basketball championships, and have played in many other championship games.
Exactly the same thing would happen if "little teams" were ever afforded the opportunity to compete in NCAA FBS championships. Do I need to remind you how "little teams" have fared in major bowl championships in the BCS/CFP era?

The "game or two over the big guys" already totals 10 double-digit seeds that have won: 15, 14, 13, 12, 12, 11, 11, 11, 10, 10.

Well never convince ol 'Name Brands Only Bevo' that an FBS championship, or any team sports championship, should be for the entire division of that sport.

You'll just never convince me that every team that plays a sport needs to be in the same Division. . If there was a way to play a 64 team football tourney in three weeks? I'd be all for it. As it is, 8 is the highest number.

So my point system is 23-9 so far vs 19-13 for committee. 4-0 in games with disputed higher seeds. In shared upset losses, teams were seeded closer by point system in 8 of 9. Dayton Syracuse is the exception.
Ten teams made tournament that not under my point system. That's unusually high. Those teams are 3-8 but 1-7 when not playing each other. Again, Syracuse is the exception.

"Let's see how many of them are still playing in two weeks."
I know of 10 teams that won't be playing in 2 weeks. Not one of these teams was supposed to make it past the first round. But, anything can happen when teams are given the opportunity to compete. In recent years, Butler advanced to the championship game two years in a row, and came within a whisker of beating mighty Duke for the national championship.
