What story? What was the supposed lie? The entire story? Part of the story? What is your source? It would be news if the Russian government didn't attempt to hack into computers of the proponents and opponents of the Brexit vote. |

The Wisconsin recount results are in, and I understand that Trump gained 162 votes.
However, I haven't seen how many of the 3 million illegal aliens votes Trump has alleged were identified in the recount.
Anyone know?

The irony is that it was always the liberal Democrats who were soft on the Russians. Obama allowed Russian troops marched unimpeded into Crimea and for Russia to illegally annex this strategic Ukrainian peninsula. To his credit, Obama did impose sanctions on Russia. One American was noteworthy in his repeated efforts to convince Obama to lift the sanctions -- Trump's nominee for Secretary of State. Do you believe that Putin is a thug and a ruthless dictator? Do you believe that Putin has had his political opponents assassinated and imprisoned? Do you believe that Putin seeks to recreate the Soviet empire? Do you believe that Putin is trying to destabilize NATO? Do you believe that Putin is engaged in multiple efforts to destabilize central and Western Europe, and is a threat to to annex the Baltic states and sections of other independent nations that have sizable Russian populations? Until Trump came along, these were conservative Republican beliefs. Trump turned the world upside down with his naive infatuation with Putin. |

However, I do have considerable respect for the professionals in the FBI and the U.S. intelligence services. When they concluded that the Russian government was interfering with the presidential election, that got my attention. I probably should be surprised that it doesn't concern you, but I'm not.

In this case, their investigations led them to the conclusion that the Russian government was directing the hackings of the computers of U.S. political parties and campaign officials. I am absolutely stunned that you would countenance any foreign government interfering with a U.S. election, under any circumstance. It is a direct attack on our Constitution. Shameful. Disgraceful. Disgusting. The Russians also hacked GOP computers, but decided for whatever reason not to leak the contents. However, the next time they might expose information that you won't like so much. |

The key claims are based exclusively on the unverified assertions of anonymous officials, who in turn are disseminating their own claims about what the CIA purportedly believes, all based on evidence that remains completely secret. These unnamed sources say “the CIA has concluded in a secret assessment that Russia intervened in the 2016 election to help Donald Trump win the presidency, rather than just to undermine confidence in the U.S. electoral system.” The anonymous officials also claim that “intelligence agencies have identified individuals with connections to the Russian government who provided WikiLeaks with thousands of hacked emails” from both the DNC and John Podesta’s email account. Critically, none of the actual evidence for these claims is disclosed; indeed, the CIA’s “secret assessment” itself remains concealed. |

The chair of the House homeland security committee, Texas Republican Mike McCaul, confirmed in a written statement that the Russians had hacked into the computers of Republican operatives. |
