Hate to inform you Bevo, but AAA Baseball just like AA Baseball A baseball and rookie league baseball are NOT 'semi-pro' ball . It is full professional Baseball. You better stick to Longhorn football. ...and attendance and press coverage for baseball is completely irrelevant to the issue we started discussing..... cerebrally and academically challenged kids having an alternate path to an NFL career other than having to be fake college students. Oh please Hen... I've heard minor league baseball referred to as "semi-pro" all my life. You're really going to attack on semantics? Whatever.
Attendance and press coverage drive revenue... These things may be irrelevant at Delaware. But, they're pretty darn important at Texas. I am aware of NO requirement that NFL players first attend college. There ARE other pathways available.
Nope, not realistically Bevo . I checked all 1696 opening day final 53 man rosters in the NFL . Only 2 guys did not attend college. If you want to be an NFL player you must be a real or fake college student for a few years. Just the opposite for me, Bevo. I've never ever heard knowledgeable Baseball people refer to the 3 classifications of MLB's minor league system as "semi-pro". There are assorted 'Semi-Pro' leagues around the country but NONE are affiliated with MLB.
