Agree with lots of that. I thought you were talking about bowls/playoffs,...post season stuff which the NCAA has very little to do with at the FBS level. That's what the discussion seemed to be about. Look at the thread title. How is the NCAA screwing up the post season format ? You asked me to elaborate and I did. The NCAA will make another bad decision when they have the chance. To my knowledge, they have yet to make a decision.

Are you trying to make some point concerning the NCAA and the FBS post season ? That's all I'm asking ?

I heard they presented this plan today and it could go into effect as early as 2023.

I still think an 8 team playoff that included the highest ranked G5 team and all P5 Champs would be the best. But, I'd be happy to try this system. There's a lot to like about it.

Bama, Clemson and OSU aren't likely to care much. Until the grip these 3 have on the sport currently is broken, 6,8,12,16 won't matter all that much.

The proposal, a copy of which was obtained by ESPN, calls for the bracket to include the six highest-ranked conference champions and the six remaining highest-ranked teams as determined by the CFP selection committee.
“No conference would qualify automatically and there would be no limit on the number of participants from a conference,” the proposal states via Dinich’s report.
So, based on that wording, there's no guarantee the G5 champ gets an auto bid.

In the past Boise St and Western M would have snuck in. At large teams 3 SEC 1.5 Big 10 1 B12 0.5 P10 They need to get rid of the CFP selection committee because the SEC bias is overwhelming. Come up with a computer system that is agreed on prior to the start of the season.

Are you trying to make some point concerning the NCAA and the FBS post season ? That's all I'm asking ? If you haven't caught on to what I think about the NCAA as a governing body, I don't think I am capable of explaining to your satisfaction. Sorry about that.

Do any of these NCAA "decisions" you keep referring to have to do with this topic.....the proposed expanded playoff ? Hope you're astute enough to know that none of the so called major college assorted playoff systems over the years including this 12 team proposed event have nothing to do with the NCAA and are not NCAA championships in any way . Your comments make me wonder that maybe you don't understand this.

If you’re No. 1 Alabama, the good news is you get a bye. The bad news is you don’t get to host a home game (but 5-8 do) and your fans have to travel to four straight neutral sites, starting with the conference championship.
Might want to rethink that part about this “plan”.

Ames, IA average Jan high == 30, average low ==12 East Lansing, MI average high ==29, average low == 13 How would that southern speed handle the frigid cold?
