We don't need to because we at the Big 10 are better than everyone else. Didn't you all see how all of the conferences followed our lead on covid. excellent point! Seriously though, the B1G has EXCELLENT leadership, compared to every other league not named SEC. You have a fertile recruiting base. A VERY loyal fan base. Excellent coaching. You just lack SPEED! :-) The B1G will always be around the top. There you go. You haven't even officially joined the SEC yet and you are already playing the speed card. I do remember going down to Gatlinburg during the football season and thats all I heard over and over from the UTenn crowd was that they were just to fast. I sure would like to talk with those boys again today and have them tell me about speed. Regarding the Big 10, I do think the conference is in a very good state and don't want to see any changes at the moment. I thought the alliance was a good thing as it will limit the poaching of teams from other conferences. That being said, I am not crazy about Kevin Warren running the Big 10. Just felt like a lot of mixed messages during the covid thing and not really sure what he brings to the table. How can you cancel the Big 10 football season and let your own son play in the SEC? With the Texas and OU to the SEC, I think Texas will benefit and OU will take a step back. Very fertile recruiting in Texas will certainly help them. OU was in a situation where they were one of a few teams that has had a legitimate shot at the playoffs every single year. This will change once they make the switch.

SEC 'speed' has yet to produce a single Pro HOF wide receiver (out of 31 enshrined ) 0-31. Maybe speed is not required for WR greatness.
I get the overall team speed concept but for fun and trivia......who are speediest of SEC speedsters that have gone on to legendary HOF careers at the highest level of the sport ?

LOL I was stating the obvious LONG before we got invited to the "speed league". Maybe, the B1G just wears slow-looking shoes? Watching them play, the pace just LOOKS a LOT slower. Not for Ohio State, of course... they recruit well in Texas. ;-)

Still a pretty big questions mark in my mind if the SEC is all that powerful or is it just perception. Since the start of the BCS the SEC has gotten the benefit of the doubt every single time when considering who gets in the BCS\CFP with the exception of maybe 2004. Why did LSU Alabama get a rematch when tOSU ttun did not? Why did Bama get in over tOSU when the lost the last game of the season badly and did not even get to the SEC CCG? Just look at it again this year. 3 of the top 6 teams are SEC teams. Remember when Ole Miss beat Bama. Everyone gave credit that Ole Miss was a very good team and not that Bama was bad. When tOSU lost to Iowa the pundits harped on that one all the way through the selection process. Until they get an unbiased method for the selection process then I am with Hen that the CFP end result is biased and rigged. Hard to trust Humans that get the majority information from the source that sponsors their program to make decision on who is more deserving. Instead of evaluating the season on the accomplishments throughout the year, they now resort to the so called eye test. What a farce. Before the game Alabama playing a top 15 team with an experienced offense sounded pretty exciting. After the game this is what is said about a top 15 opponent. Not a single positive word about Alabama in the post.

Except for the original receiver…of course! Something's wrong when the best the SEC has produced played 85 years ago

All that’s wrong is, the SEC was able to dominate with just the ground game for a couple of decades. They’ve switched gears now. The HOF will be populated with several SEC Wr’s… soon

Not a single positive word about Alabama in the post. Do you really need a positive word about Alabama at this point? I'd have them at #1; they've completely reloaded, like they do every year. Will they even be challenged until the SEC Championship? They play Florida in a couple of weeks...there are absolutely no doubts about the strength of Alabama. And ya, Miami absolutely sucked. If you were gameplanning Alabama, would you continously try and run up the middle? If you had a star experienced QB, why would you not give him the reigns? Miami went 3 and out for most of the first half. If you are a Miami fan, what are the postives you take away from the game? There's nothing to build on. Miami looks lost on offense. Maybe they will look better against ACC scrubs like Duke and Georgia Tech, but if you are a Miami fan, is that where you want to be? I believe I said the same stuff about Nebraska the week before. Miami, Nebraska and Tennessee are proud programs that just inevitably suck now. They can't even get moral victories

Your post is something I hear after every Alabama win. It is NEVER about Bama and is ALWAYS about the other team...typical stuff. My response to you was only about LSU.
