Every time I have said BAMA would have played better but for the missing players I was told I was just making excuses. I guess this rule perfectly OK for any team but Alabama. Things that make me go Hhmmmmm on this board? are you talking about a specific game? I think they had key injuries in the '21 Championship vs. Georgia Missing because of key injuries is one thing, but when you have 7 starters decide to declare for the draft then that makes a huge difference. On average non CFP teams had roughly 15 players opt out. The bowl games use to be a statement for conference strength but in my mind there is limited interest for me to watch because they have become meaningless.

So we go to Bowl Season with 3 P5 teams undefeated and clearly deserving of spot in the CFP. The committee pivots and takes 2 1 loss teams. At the end of the semi's we still have 3 undefeated teams.
BTW the Orange Bowl does not count due to the opt outs. FSU had 20+ players opt out and seven were headed to the NFL draft. Of the 57 offensive TD scored during the season, only 8 were from players on the OB depth chart.
If they were going for ratings then they got it but we will never know who the best team was this season. Great job from the ESPNSEC committee

What they did to FSU is sickening. Some of the people that I spoke with actually tried to justify the committee decision had no clue that 20+ players opted out. You nailed it with UGA. There schedule was a cakewalk with major struggles against both SoCar and Auburn. Then an 8 point win vs mediocre GT. Next season the committee will use the Orange as a justification to maximize the number of SEC teams that get in.

I despise Alabama but my hatred for ttun far exceeds that. I think every true Buckeye fan disgusts for the ttun has significantly intensfied because of the cockiness of the current team and the 2.5 years of cheating that helped get them to where the are. The good news is that ttun has 40+ seniors and a looming investigation that should keep them out of the playoffs for a couple of years and a coach who is going to pull a Pete Carroll and jump from the sinking ship. For once and probably the only time of my life I will state these words with conviction ROLL TIDE. Good Luck Hero!
Game 2 I think will be an absolute shoot out. Both defenses has given up a lot of points and you have 2 of the best QB's in the nation. Penix lit up the Buckeyes when he was at Indiana and made them a very good team until he got injured. Some Buckeye fans have an issue with Ewers when he left tSOU but if the way I see it, it was a great decision thanks to the craziness and stupidity of how the NIL is setup. If the team that wins this one wins it all I will be able to go to the offseason with a smile on my face. Good Luck Bevo!

Probably the most least interested Ohio State bowl games for me in a long time. Was not excited at all with any of the pregame hype and was just horrible to watch. I see there was "Fire Day" social media messages just after the end of the game ! lol No doubt, those were coming from OSU haters! You have a great coach... stick with him. I am clearly in the do not fire Day boat but don't underestimate our fan base. I have heard a lot of comparisons between Cooper and Day but it is nowhere close in my mind. It took day a good five+ seasons to get OSU to a championship level. Under Day this was his worst season and it ended with a 6 point loss on the road vs #1. I truly could care less about any bowl that is not part of a playoff.

I didn’t get tix in the initial lottery. I had two chances; one from the UT alumni group, and one from our previous Sugar Bowl purchase. Just now, I got an email with resale ticket options. Every seat in the lower level is more than $2000. Most are $2200-$2800. Mid-level seats (where I sat last time for $180) are going for $500-$600. Upper level seats are $220-$300…. All start at least 16 rows back. It was the best New Year Weekend we ever had. I would probably have paid $300 for the same seats as last time. $550 is a bit too much. We’ll just have to settle for a 75” front row seat in my living room! And, free bourbon! I personally prefer the upper level seats. If it is on the sidelines then you can really see watch the receivers and see if the QB is making the reads. 220 to 300 seems like a pretty good deal to me. After fees my tickets were about 500 each last year. Good luck to your Horns!

Merry Christmas to all of you as well. Have my son back in town with my daughter and her new boyfriend. Nothing beats family! Went to my parents who are 91 and 87 for Christmas Day. My dad had a great day. At the end of the day he seemed like he almost was saying goodbye until the next life when I left. Hope it is not the case but Christmas was a great day.

My first thoughts were Colt McCoy and Payton Manning. Sean Clifford started a ton of games for PSU.

So you are saying that Damar Hamlin collapsing on the field on live TV is the influence of social media??? Please help us all and debunk all three. I’ll do one and see if you snap out of your conservative conspiracy coma. The Justin Bieber quote came from the Vancouver Times, self described below: web.archive.org/web/20220611052314/https://vancouvertimes.org/justin-bieber-the-vaccine-ruined-my-life/They even make fun of conservative conspiracy theorists in the article: So not only is this conservative social media influencing you - this is conservative social media taking satire designed to make fun of conservative social media - and spreading it as fact. So in summary, you take literal satire designed to make fun of your type, post it, then put the onus on me to debunk it. There are hundreds of articles that talk about Justin Bieber and you just focus on one. Maybe if you used another search engine beside google you could enlighten yourself. Fact: Justin Bieber has Ramsey Hunt Syndrome which is extremely rare in anyone under the age of 60 Fact: His wife had a brain just had a brain clot just like my best friend You do understand how idiotic it is when you use social media to to try to make a point that I am a slave to social media considering you have no idea where I got my information. So where is the social media link I used when I saw Damar Hamlin collapse? Again I laid out my thought process on why I decided not get the vaccine and your response is to pivot using social media to try to claim that I am a slave to social media. Do you not recognize how hypocritical you are. Every single link you have provided on this board is social media and if you agree with it you view it as factual and if you disagree it is a conspiracy.

Now that is a vaccine I can get behind. I totally respect Hen and his decision to remain fully up to date on the covid 19 vaccine. It is a personal decision and we should all do what we feel is our best interest. I supported my parents and their decision to get the initial covid 19 vaccination as they were in their 80's at the time. I have absolutely no respect for moronic individuals who accuse me of being a boomer that is incapable of using the internet and make my decisions based on limited knowledge coming strictly from social media outlets. Maybe my decision came from a few of these facts: It was an experimental vaccine that was put out to market at warp speed with limited testing It was a vaccine that had no data on any long term heath risk I was in a demographic at the time where the risk of a fatality was similar to that of the flu In my efforts to educate myself to make the best possible decision for me, I found that a concoction of Zinc, Quercetin, C, and D do a very good job to combat covid 19. I have been taking this everyday since 2021. Prior to making my decision to not take the vaccine, I took a test and found that I had the antibodies. Apparently I had covid 19 with no symptoms. At that point it was an absolute no brainer to not get the shot. Now that we have a little more history of covid we now know of many potential side effects: Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS) Thrombosis with Thrombocytopenia Syndrome (TTS) Myocarditis and Pericarditis Bell’s palsy Small fiber neuropathy Anaphylaxis What about Justin Bieber who now claims the vaccine destroyed his life. What about Jamie Foxx who after getting the covid vaccine had paralyses and is now partially blind What about Damar Hamlin that we got to watch nearly die on the field. What about my best friend who I have known my entire life that got a stroke shortly after getting the vaccine due to a blood clot. What about all of those people that we are now seeing just dropping dead on the spot. I don't recall seeing that prior to the Vaccine. Apparently a few of us don't have the common sense to at least accept the possibility that these events could be related to the vaccine. Only a complete moron could come to the conclusion that my decision was made based on social media feeds without applying much thought. I was asking about other vaccinations required at Ohio State, not COVID. But I really didn’t expect an answer from you on this. I did enjoy the part where you cite three social media stories that blamed COVID vaccines for ailments, while immediately afterward dismissing the influence social media has on you. This is damn good satire. So you are saying that Damar Hamlin collapsing on the field on live TV is the influence of social media??? Please help us all and debunk all three.

Which is why I asked my question if other vaccines being forced by organizations is a problem, or just the COVID vaccines. you should ask people if they'd rather get a Covid vaccine or answer your stupid questions
In fact, is there a vaccine that grants immunity to your stupid posts? I would be first in line

One of my daughters very good friend who is graduating this week from Ohio State won't be able to attend because of recent health issues. A few weeks back she felt her heart fluttering and was getting tired very easily. She ended up going to the hospital to find out that her heart was enlarged and was running at 15%. She now has to wear a body suit that will shock her heart in the event that it stops. She is still getting further tests to hopefully find the cause and a remedy. According to the doctors she was told that the likely causes were either an inflammatory infection, genetics, or the vaccine. She is very scared and asked for anyone who believes in God to say prayers for her. I spent a lot of time trying to find data on the risks of covid for myself and my family. I do know that the risks of covid on healthy 19 year old kids is minimal. Unfortunately for Maddie, the Ohio State University forced all the students to take the shots if they wanted to continue their education. Three years later she is now in the hospital scared for her life. Was the vaccine the cause? We do know for sure but we do know that myocarditis is a potential side effect from the vaccine. The vaccine is out there for those who want. If you feel it is in your best interest based on your age and current health status then by all means you should get it. Unfortunately the vaccine was forced on people by our univeristies, military, and corporations. Both my daughter and I had to go through hoops with petitions excessive testing... to not get the vaccine. It should have never ever come to that when making the decision to get the vaccine. Are you and your family completely unvaccinated? Most not all. My son was forced to get it for his job.

The committee was charged to pick the "four BEST teams". Basically, that means the 4 teams viewers really want to see play. If this was the case, why was tOSU not part of the discussion. tOSU won 1 close game on the road vs ND. They lost to ttun in the waning minutes. ttun, PSU, and tSOU all went through the season with out a scare other when they played each other outside of ND. BAMA struggled mightily against aTm, a very bad Arky team, and were gifted a win the last game of the season against Auburn. They lost at home by 10 to Texas. The win over UGA was nice but then again UGA struggled against soCar, Auburn, and GT. Is it really the 4 best teams or the 4 teams who ESPN decides to lobby for. Just another reason that for me to think that the CFP is a fraud.
